I need help wording our favors. Originally FH and I were just going to a donation to the American Cancer Society in luie of favors. FMIL has now decided to buy little wedding cake candles for us Do you think its going to be too much to do a donation too? Or would it be ok and how would I word the cards? Or should I just tell her Thank you for the thought but were going to do just the donation?

We are giving a favor and donating money....we created these cards to go on the tables....
I'm doing coaster favors & a donation. Here's the verbiage my mom & I came up:
To Our Family & Friends
With much thought and consideration we have chosen a meaningful way to say thank you for sharing our wedding day.
We have made a special donation to the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer’s Association in loving memory of Heather’s grandparents Margaret and Andrew xxxxxxxxxxx and Patricia xxxxxxxxxxxxxx As well as family and friends who have been affected by these diseases.
We feel the finest gift is one that helps others live longer and healthier lives.
We truly appreciate that you are part of this special day.
