we are doing mini bottles of tequila with personalized labels and shot glasses that say our names and date!

we're big tequila drinkers, and everyone knows it..so it just works!

our last name is Fortune but we are considering the same favor.
we love chinese food and even if we don't do the cookies, we'll most likely use the take out containers.

i think the tradition is adorable, not wierd at all.

We're thinking full sized wine bottles (probably Pindar winter white) with a personalized label.

To go with the casino theme, we're also doing poker chip chocolate coins instead of the Jordan almonds.

If we weren't doing the cookies, I would have done wine!! I LOVE that idea. it's something people will use and it won't just sit there.

That's such a great idea! You know most people will drink it there together, which is cool...then they'll have a shot glass to use time and time again! I love it!

im making 'goodie bags' for my guests
so far i got snowflake glass coasters and snowflake wine stoppers

not sure what else yet

Someone gave this to my mom yesteerday as a retirement gift..i think they 'regifted it'.lol

we are going little jars of preserves...FH's SIL makes them and she is willing to make them for us for the wedding. We are buying the little jars online and decorating them with labels and ribbon in our wedding colors. I dont have pics yet, but I'll post when they are done, probably not until Dec, since the jams need to be as fresh as possible. we are doing strawberry, apricot, plum, and mango.

I hope people actually eat it!

oh, we're also doing the jordan almonds wrapped in tulle. i've never seen this at a wedding before, only at showers of friends...
i didnt even know it was tradition or that there was something behind it untill my FMIL told me we had to have them.
i freaked out and said no way but FH bought the tulle the other day...looks like we're stuck doin it.

wow...such GREAT ideas...I've seen so many of these threads and as the year goes on...the favors are getting more creative. My girlfriend for tomorrows wedding is doing the olive oil jars with a small package of herbs to dip bread in...they are soooo cute...I will I had a pic...ooooh...I can post one when I get one...duh! Expect to see a pic in the next couple of days. ...and my favors are salt shaker with a built in peppermill...I already bought all 75 of them (I hope I have enough) they are discontinued...This is exactly what it looks like...I took the pic in my kitchen. (They are 6 1/2 inches tall...it looks shorter in the pic)
