Favors

Hey quick question. MY baby shower is in 2weeks and my FMIL hasn't ordered favors. She asked me what we should do. There really isn't too many options for a baby shower. There are really cute candles that are shaped into bottles or baby strollers or I was thinking maybe going to a chocolate shop and having those chocolate lollipops made up. The ones that are shaped into something baby related and are colored. I was thinking maybe having a tag attached that says something baby related or something. What would you rather get as a favor? Would you really want a baby bottle candle around your house?? TIA for your help

Chocolate is always a good way to go. Whenever I come home from A shower I never know what to do with the favor. Choc. you could at least eat.

I'd say the chocolate too. If you make them yourself: my advise is to keep the colors simple and start early- oh- and enlist the help of lots of friends...lol

I don't know how many you need, but I did 60 for my e-party and I was running out the door tying ribbons on them...lol

I got the stuff from grandmas kitchen in wantagh. I'm not sure if they make them for you though.

Or, you can get those hershey wrapper things. I think I have a card form someone who said they could do them on short notice. FM me if you need their info.

I helped a friend throw a baby shower and for favors we just went to Yankee Candle Co. and bought a bunch of votives in baby powder scent and wrapped them in pink and blue tulle (sp?) and tied them with personalized ribbon. We also made our own chocolate lollipops which came out great. They were very easy to make and you can get everything at pretty much any craft store. They have the molds (tons of differest shapes), the chocolate, the sticks and the bags to put them in. The candles smelled awesome and everyone loved them.

Re: Favors

I WOULD HANDOUT CANDLES THAT EVERYONE CAN USE.

GO TO THE OUTLETS AND BUY A BUNCH OF CANDLE HOLDERS...AND VOTIVES.

OR YOU CAN GIVE OUT PICTURE FRAMES...THOSE ARE NICE TOO.
