Favors

So I think the FH & I are doing whole wine bottles for favors. So now a few questions- DO I do one bottle per couple or one bottle per person? Because what about the people who come alone? Also do I do wine labels or just wine bags with tags? Which are cheaper and where can I find them??? I feel like the labels may be harder and how do they cover the original label??? Really confused-- Looking for some help.

Thanks soo much

Re: Favors

We had wine favors for our wedding and we did one per couple. We had the small bottles (187). If someone was alone they got there own bottle. We didn''t do labels, so I can't help you there. We just told the RH how many bottles to put at a table.

I would do one per invite, as far as the label goes, on wine I am not sure. But I did do water bottle labels and I peeled off the originals and put on my own.

If that is too much, you can also put them in organza bag with your own tag.

Re: Favors

I did full bottles of wine as favors.
One per invite, the bottles were placed on the tables.
I used a custom made label which I put over the back label on the bottle, not over the front one. I wanted the guests to know what wine they were receiving.
I got a bit fancy and put the bottles in organza bags, tied the top with sheer ribbon and added a flower made out of jordan almonds.

If you don't do personalized labels, then you can do a nice tag tied around the neck of the bottle.

I think that you should do one bottle per couple if they are the normal size bottles and one per person if they are the smaller bottles. You can always put them in a mesh bag or something and tie a little note to the wrapping that says like 'The perfect blend. Nicole & Matt - November 11,2009'

Re: Favors

I'm looking to do wine bottles as favors, but not sure if I'm using big bottles or small bottles yet.

My mom recommended that if I do the big bottles, only do 1 per couple, but if I do the small bottles, then do 1 per person. My mom also pointed out to me that I'm getting low centerpieces, so I might want to stay away from doing the big bottles then, because it might take away from the centerpiece.

As for as labels, I've read on here that a lot of girls soak the bottles in water, peel off the label, dry the bottle and then put on their own. It sounds like a lot of work. So some girls have also gotten nice sheer bags to place the bottles in, and then just put ribbons or tags tied to the outside of the bag.
