I guess it's normal. What kind of favors are you doing?

Re: Favors
It really depends on your budget and how important favors are to you and your family. For FH and I, favors are at the bottom of our list. We might not even have any. If we have any extra money left over, we wouldn't spend more than $2 per favor. My cousin on the other hand, is obsessed w. favors. She is spending around $8.00. So really, it all depends on how important you think favors are.

Re: Favors
Well, at first I thought I really didn't care about them... and we were going to get silver frames and frame quotes and have them all over the mansion.... we are probably still doing this - but now.... I saw these adorable mini shakers and I wanted to give them with the recipe for our signature drink... the Moortini (he he) or should I spell it Mooretini

Re: Favors
If I do one favor per guest, I'd like to keep it to around $2, if I do a favor per couple, I guess no more than $5.

Oh, good call! 5 per couple wouldn't be too bad.

As a fellow language lady.. I would say Mooretini to indicate it is so good you just have to have some moore...
I love the frame quote/idea, what about printing up the recipe and putting a few in nice, large frames on the bar and having copies for people take??

Re: Favors
I'm probably going to do favors per couple. My cousin gave coffee scoops to each guest at her wedding. We now have 6 of the exact same coffee scoop in my house, 5 of which are going to waste. (We do use the 1 all the time)

Haha - yea... that's my other question... how many of you would even use a mini cocktail shaker... I think it's adorable, but maybe not practical?

Re: Favors
Were doing personalized tea bag favors, with a tea bag holder, a tea spoon and sugar cubes...
We think since were such big tea drinkers (and so is our whole family) that its super practical and we hope they're all going to LOVE it :)

Re: Favors
Yea... I love when the favors reflect the couple... that's why I first liked the various love quotes... FH was putting some Sublime quotes for his GM's table and I was putting some of my favorite poets...

Re: Favors
I think a cocktail shaker is practical, especially if you give it with a martini recipe.
I once got an nice ice bucket as a favor...which seems practical...unfortunately it was personalized with the bride and groom's name and date...making it less practical....my mom will use it as a back-up when she has 20plus people over for Thanksgiving.
That is why whatever I give as a favor will not have my name or wedding date carved in it.

Re: Favors
Oh, you mean I shouldn't engraved the shaker with my name and date - lol... jk wasn't even thinking of it... although I want to get the BP t-shirts that say Team Moore on them - but they can sleep in them or clean the toilet with them for all I care --- wouldn't that be a great revenge if I was a Bridezilla... cleaning the toilet with a shirt that said Team Moore!
