these are the two items that our guest will receive. the chairs will be their place card holders, & the boxes will be full of jordan almonds.
i have been looking for another item to give out. (maybe an oil & vinegar set, or some other type of serve ware.) however FMIL & my mom said these two things are enough.
I, personally, think it is enough. I am not too big on favors honestly. FH and I are doing a donation and something small along with it. But, what you have is very nice and I'd be happy to get that at a wedding.

Re: favors
I think what you're giving out is definitely enough. Those boxes are adorable!

I dont think it is enough. With the amount you are spending on the 2, you could probably get an oil/vinegar set or something that is useful. This is JMO bc i am big on favors (odd i know). I have so many beautiful favors from past affairs I have attended that are so useful - the jordan almonds are gone by the time you get home.. JMO - sorry if this is too honest Christine!

I agree with Barb...what do you do with the chair once you bring it home?
The jordan almonds are a must so I would add something to that maybe another edible treat

Re: favors
If perhaps you want to merge the chair idea, and the box idea, I am using these as my place cardholders. Then maybe you can do some kind of serve ware, if that's what you have your heart set on.

ITA Jordan almonds typically are used in conjunction with another type of favor (the old italian tradition of 5 jordan almonds in a tulle 'sac' to go with a type of stone serveware...) If you dont want to do a material item as a favor, make a donation and attach a card to the box of jordan almonds...

I know someone who collects these from each wedding. She has them spread out of an end table in the corner of her living room with all pictures stuck in them. I think ppl make use out of these.

i have seen them in person & you can stick a photo in them. which is why i really like the idea vs items that i have received as favors, they just collected dust & then got dumped in the trash.

i like this idea, but obviously do whatever makes you happy. I'd probably throw the chair out at home b/c I wouldn't want to leave it and hurt your feelings. sorry to be so harsh, but I'm sure it is expensive.

Re: favors
in my opinion, i would do something else. the almonds to me arent favors. i went to a wedding where they were with the menu tucked into the napkin so some people ate them while at the wedding, i thought it was more for table decor than a favor.
and the chair, i agree with others, what are you supposed to do with it after? you mentioned to hold a photo but me personally, i wouldnt use that. i prefer frames. i would prob throw it out.
so if i was gonna do the chairs, i would still add another little something
