We are doing sandalwood fans...our ceremony is outside in July so I figure people will REALLY appreciate it.

I'm thinking about doing the mini (7 oz) coronas in some kind of bucket with a label with our names and wedding date on it wrapped in cellophane. The wedding is in August and I figured a lot of ppl would like it and think its unique

That's so cute!! I think we're doing a personalized Jones Soda Bottle (that'll be my last name) and make a Susan G Komen donation in everyone's name. Plus we have the candy buffet that everyone can take home in little cellophane bags so they'll have that too.

I actually love the Jones idea! I might look into that!
We will do donations to two charities close to our hearts. (I lost my first FH 4 years ago and my current FH lost his wife), a candy bar/buffet, and a small box of Tate's cookies.

Fh and I LOVE to cook. His mom died 10 years ago. So we are making a cookbook of recipies from families and friends. We are going to send out sheets with our save the dates to get recipies from the family.

That is such a beautiful idea.

I'm going to do wine. We're getting married by Giorgio's, which is near all the vineyards. I want to get it from a local winery.

AHH!! My FILS went to a wedding this weekend and they got a bagel favor! They LOVED it! I think its a fab idea. Waking up after a few drinks, who doesn't want a bagel!

I want to do a donation, but FH doesn't like that idea. He says we MUST give out favors and that people will be mad if they don't get one. Apparently receiving a stupid trinket that will end up in the garbage or in your stomach is more important than saving dying children's lives. I will get my way....

We have a similar scenario; my family is Italian and VERY into those gaudy favors and they will be personally insulted if we don't give them something. We're going to do favors, but then make a donation with some of our wedding money. We only feel right to somehow give to those in need after all the indulgence. It doesn't need to be in honor of the guests though.
