I was hoping not to spend more than $4-$5 on my favors, but I will see what happens.

I guess it depends on what kind of favors they are giving you and if you like them or not.

Bottles of wine...like smaller bottles...350ml with personalized labels. RH is at Vineyard Caterers so it ties in with it and we love that but just arent sure if thats a good price.

Re: Favors

I know some past brides have bought bottles of wine for about $2.99 at trader joes and then just made some labels or placed them in organza bags. I think this is what i might end up doing.

Re: Favors

we are spending in total (that includes the favor and the materials to wrap them) about $2.30 per person (possibly a little less because I highballed the budget for the materials to wrap them up). And each guest is getting their own favor (so $4.60 per couple).

We are spending about $4.50 per couple, on the favor itself, then a little bit more for stuff to wrap it with.

You can also go to a liqor store or the local wineries and get them in bulk for about the same cost as the little $6 bottles. That's what I plan on doing. I'm gonna get some local LI wines.

We are spending about $5 a couple...My Italian grandfather is making homemade wine so we have to buy the bottles, cork, seal and make our own label.

Kedra - that's what I am probably doing.. will we r looking int o it - we looked at a liquor store in Ronk. and they had the mini bottles of wine pretty cheap and they make labels there... or you can make your own. I am jsut worried about putting them in the organza bags if you do 2 per couple, b/c then they might break if they hit against each other... .

kedra- i'm getting married at VC too and i'm giving wine for favors to stick with the theme. when i told my mom it was $6 for a little bottle there she said there are other places to go to get them cheaper. Bottles & Cases in Huntington has really cheap prices on full bottles. there are a bunch of websites that you can order the smaller bottles for cheaper than $6-
wedding wine favors

here's the thread i found about the mini bottles: LIW thread

Re: Favors

Planning on spending around $10 a favor, but 1 favor per couple.. It all depends on what you're comfortable with.. Personally, I don't think $6 is too expensive but if you can do the same idea for less I would definitely do that.
