My mom and sister are throwing us an engagement party and we were wondering if we are supposed to have favors for our guests. I have only been to one before, and i don't really remember if there were favors or not.
Please let me know if you had favors at your e-party or if you attended one that did.

We are doing a tin of mints that say our names and the date...they're called Engage-Mints.

We had boxes with Hershey kisses in them, but a ribbon around it and got custom stickers for the box 'Hugs & Kisses from the Future Mr. & Mrs' - see pics in album.

I gave out candles in sand wrapped in tulle with a ribbon with our names tied around it. The sand represented how we got married. I have pics in my album!!

Every e-party I've attended had some sort of favor. I gave out personalzed coffee bags and jars with personalized m&m's.. I don't think it's a must but I think it's a nice touch

I had a winter theme and got really cute snowflake ornaments from the dollar store and wrapped it in ribbon that I had made that said our names and wedding date and 'save the date'

I am shocked so many of you gave favors. I knew some people did but I had no clue how popular it was.
We are just having family and best friends at our e-party so we are giving out 'save the date magnets'.... yikes now im thinking i might need more!

This is not ours but it is the design that we had...our colors were different & it didn't say 'hold the date' it had the date of our e-party on it
I was going to do personalized m&m's with our pictures and date of e-paty in jars but my mom got us the mints as a 'surprise.' Luckily I saw it in her email before I bought the jars & the m&ms. The mints were really good though!

I purchased a favorite wine of ours....made up labels with our engagement dinner date on it and then hung name tags around the neck. The wine bottles were the seating cards and also doubled as a favor. And since we bought so many the wine store gave us a really good price. I included pics of the favor.

Thank you everyone! I spoke with my mom, and we decided to do some sort of favor, but since the e-party is next saturday, we are prob gonna do some chocolate either m&m's or hersheys.
