Favors - Donation

I am doing a donation also! I lost a dear friend a year ago.....

I am making a donation to Make a wish in his name because that was his favorite charity! I am sure our guest will love it!

We're doing them. I love to get them at other weddings. I would much rather see $$$ going to helping someone rather than towards something that I am going to chuck in a drawer. I'm sentimental in that I'll hang onto the invites of weddings of people I am close with, the program, whatever; and I'll have pictures to remember their wedding by. I don't need a wine stopper, too.

I think we are going to do a folded card with the menu on one side and information about the donations on the other, and have one per person. I have seen scrolls, cards, and picture frames on the tables with the info too. My mom had suggested doing tulle circles with jordan almonds and making a tag for the 'bag' with the donation info, but I think we're skipping the Jordan almonds.

The way I look at it as between the engagement party and the shower they are getting enough faovrs. We are donating and I think it is a great thing. I think we are going to do half to the breast cancer fund and the other half to the Multiple Sclerosis fund. My FI and I are very passianate about research and science and really want to do this. I was alos thinking of writing a little something to put in the table explaing who we donated to and why and what it means to my FI and I

Thanks guys! I am SO excited now to do a donation favor - whether we do 1 donation or 2. Hopefully the FILs will like the idea too (they are obsessed with the favor) and if not - so sad for them (we are the ones paying for the favors/donation anyways!)
