Re: Favors? How much?

I think 0.99/favor is on the lower side- We are giving a donation and chocolate and will spend about $3-$4/guest

Re: Favors? How much?

When I was going to get traditional favors, the candles I was looking at were about $1.35 each, under $2 still with a personalized tag. Now I'm doing a favor donation, so either 200-250 total, which will come out to about the same price per guest.

Re: Favors? How much?

My cake cutter was 1.99 plus the ribbon and favor tag and the cake mix in the bag with the sticker on the bag and ribbon probably turned out to be about 2 bucks or so....all together I think I spent a little over 500 for the favors.

Re: Favors? How much?

A lot of favors you buy at stores will be more than that, BUT a great suggestion i can give you is to do cupcakes. For eparty I did cupcakes and they are usually $2.50 at this bakery but since i bought so many he gave me a deal and i got them for about $1 each. But remember that will cost extra for boxes and ribbon and all that stuff.

Re: Favors? How much?

We're thinking $12.00, but its still up in the air-we want to give 1/2 bottles of grey goose out, but its so friggin expensive-if we switch back to a full bottle of wine, prob 8 each

Re: Favors? How much?

.99 is really cheap IMO and it will def show.... think of it this way, most guests will give a good gift... most to cover their plate at least... the least i could do i feel, is give a more decent favor... we're doing mini rum cakes which are about 3.50 each... with boxes and ribbon, im looking at about $5

Re: Favors? How much?

I don't know what my favors will come to.
We booked a photobooth for $1500
I'm going to make cocoa cones - but I don't know what that's going to run me
I plan on ordered the matches... but not a book.. the loose ones in that cylendar thingy... if I can't afford that in the end I'll just get the ones that have the piece that slides out with loose matches.

Also, I plan on doing OOT bags.

We are having approx 200 people. So that's actually kinda high if you figure out a pp charge on that.
Ehh.. I'm not up for that sort of math. It will just end up depressing me... and I got shoes so I'd rather be happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Favors? How much?

We did lolita martini glass mini christmas ornaments, they were $10.95 each, but we only needed 80, so it wasn't too bad, do you have anything in particular in mind?

Re: Favors? How much?

we are spending about 9 bucks for each favor. we are european (portuguese) and the favors is one of the important things in a wedding and as my mom would say, we cant let thr guests walk out empty handed or with a cheap thank you gift. so when it comes to this, in our family, and portuguese weddings or even any europen weddings favors are a must and it isnt a cheap little thing, so.. unfortunetly i am spending about 9-10 bucks a favor!!!! lol oh well!!!!!

Re: Favors? How much?

before I TOTALLY get Bashed, I understand the sentiment about giving a 'good' favor and come from a similar europearn background where its considered shameful not to give a 'good favor'..
but I would do away with favors all together if it didnt mean my mother would disown me...I think most of them are a waste (except the booze ones )
that being said--- your favor should be based upon your budget--- and what you want to spend..its not obligatory.. people now give donations instead of favors, candy buffets, I have even been to very 'fancy' weddings where no favors were given at all.

So IMO you can certainly go to the 99 store and can find good finds sometimes... you can get for example pretty candles sometimes ... or a simple glass frame.... crate and barrel had cute glass votive holders for 95 the other day.. If you take time to look around you can find stuff for a 1,00.. but like other girls mentioned... you need to get boxes

Re: Favors? How much?

We really would like to do mini bottles of wine from our favorite winery but they do not usually do 1/2 bottles so it will be a custom order (probably some crazy amount of money)
