favors per couple?

favors per couple?

how does this work? say its 10 couples so you put five favors - do people just realize its one per couple? my mom says that if she were at a wedding her and dad would automatically grab one each innocently without thinking. i do not want anyone to fill awkward.

i thought about writing personal tags : 'To so and so thank you love so and so' but i do not know exactly where they will end up sitting at the table and i do not want the favors in the center because i will already have a low full centerpiece, candles and rose petals .. i want the favors at each setting with the DIY menu.

i am thinking one candle (yankee) and one chocolate (godiva) bar/box per couple so maybe place one candle every other setting and one candy bar at every other setting ?

or just pick one and give to everyone!?

or pick the candle per person and get a cheaper chocolate with it like dove or lindt

please help!

thanks !

Re: favors per couple?

well depends on the favor, some are meant to be one per person and others one per couple. For example alot of people do edible favors such as box of chocolates or a candy apple, then that i would say its one per person. If you are giving salt shakers, or anything of that nature then its one per couple. And if people get to a table and theres 10 of them and they see 5 favors then they should figure out its one per couple...if they get to the table and see theres 10 boxes then they'll figure out its one per person.

Yeah...having the same problem here. I think I will use the favors (don't know what yet) as place cards as well, no matter what the favor is. I feel that is the only way to tell guests one per couple. To put their names on them.

We did one per couple, but the favors served double duty as seating assignments, too. We tied labels to each favor with the couple's names on them (or singles name, depending).

If you're giving favors per couple/family - how does it work? What about the kids? And what's the age cutoff?

I agree. We did chocolate truffles, and gave 1 box per person.

I'm kind of the opposite of your parents, I just assume one per couple unless I see a ton of them... The last wedding we went to had them brought out and placed on the table, there were 1/2 as many favors as there were place settings, and as incredibly drunk as we all were we figured it out

We're doing one per couple and not labeling.

Its common sense, anyone that has been to a wedding knows if there is a favor in front of every plate its one per, and if its in between plates its 1 per couple, it always depends on what it is but even wrapped favors its pretty easy to figure out.

If you're doing one favor per couple (like we are) I would think that they would notice only 5 favors at a 10 person table.

Our RH has it so we can set it up one of three ways: one have a table by the dais, two have them already on the table when the guests arrive, and three (which we're doing) is to have the wait staff come out with them on a silver platter and wearing white gloves after they clear the entrees off the table and then give the guests the favor.

I'm sure it would work out.

I've been to a few weddings where the favors were per couple. Don't worry!

I am giving two favors. A box full of hershey's kisses that will serve double duty as place cards on table (each plate) and one favor per couple of wine stopper. I am also giving a favor that will be placed in each car by the valet guys as a special thank you (and unexpected) for sharing our day.
