Favors - Per Invite or Per Person????

Favors - Per Invite or Per Person????

I don't know why but this has turned into such a back and forth with me and I'm hoping you ladies can help me out!

Do give favors per person or per couple (invite) if they are something edible like a chocolate kind of thing that comes in its own wrapped box? I'm thinking its per person but I want to make sure!

I'm doing per person.. if it was just some regular favor then i'd say couple

i'm doing favors per person, depending on how many people come!! we ordered our favors now because they were on sale, and that is the number of people we BETTER not go over. we don't want a big wedding and that is another incentive to keep numbers down so everyone can have their own favor!!!

If they are a couple then the couple will receive one if they are single then they we receive one. Even if its someone who brings a guest im giving one per couple!

I would say edible is per person (unless it's like a jar of something like hot sauce, bottle of wine) otherwise per couple is standard

Every wedding ive ever been to the favor has been per couple, or per individual (if they didnt have a guest)

I thought no matter what it was it was per person...but I guess per couple would make sense if it was something for around the house or something...

We're not doing favors. Instead we're doing little cards from the American Cancer Society stating that we made a contribution in our guests name...
(We've had a lot of loved ones affected by cancer...)

If its chocolat eor cheese cakes or somethignlike that then i would do per person. But if its like mine which are espresso sets then 1 per couple.

It depends on what the favor is. You mentioned that it is something edible- I would do it one per person. Regular favors - one per couple.

I think for edibles it should be per person. For other favors it can be by couple, like a cake server or a wine bottle stopper, a couple doesn't need two.

I agree with this - this is the standard way of doing it...if you can afford to do one per person, totally do it. If not, it is ok to do one per invite....

Thanks for all the input! I was thinking that
edible = one per person as well but just wanted to be sure!! You girls are the best!

We are having a small wedding so we are doing our favors per person.

For food, I'd do per person. For a donation or bottle of wine, I'd do per couple.

My favors were attached to my placecards so I did one per couple (or per person if they were alone).
