I had an idea. If you order Marie Belle Chocolates, order the Dulce De Leche (to represent Spain/Barcelona) and the Champagne flavor to represent France.
that's your HM, right??
yes and yeah very good idea
And maybe do something cute like write a little note that says 'Since you can't come with us, have a taste of our honeymoon! Love Denise & Joe.'
oh wow you're good. I am too stressed to even think of anything creative 12 more days and my life goes back to normal and doesn't all revolve around the wedding hahaha. When i went to the city today i saw this cafe/restaurant and they had a terrace on the 2nd floor where you can eat outside and all i kept thinking is Oooo after the wedding Fh and i can actually do things like go into the city and have brunch. WOW how nice will it be to do that instead of running around to get everything done
Thanks!!! I always like to incorporate little things that mean something! Try to negotiate with them. Also check out Vosges chocolates as well. They are a little more cost effecitve. They have a chinese takeout truffle box for 4.75... Maybe you can have them change the ribbon to chocolate brown and blue.
Soon enough, it will all be done and your wedding will be GORGEOUS
yeah i am going to check them out too and cost effect for this many guests is helpful hahaha
Thank you so much

i actually am not crazy about chocolate ill give it as a favor bc i know most ppl do like it hahahaha
hmmm if i were to do a donation i would also have to give a favor with it anyways. Trust me i know our guests lol
Ha...that's funny! I know, I really want to do the donation. But I feel like I still have to have something for guests to take home. Maybe I'll do something like this to add to it.
The mariebelle sounds nice, especially that their packaging is in your colors.
yeah i am going to call tomorrow. They have a section on their site that is wholesale but you have to call so im gonna call tomorrow and see what the wholesale prices are

yeah very true hahaha. I went also looking for headpieces today and i just dont like headpieces lol. I kept asking 'do you have anything without flower designs' and one girl said Oooo youre picky meanwhile all they had were big flower crystal type headpices or pearls which dont go with my dress. I actually found one on ebay that i like lol so might just get that

I'd prefer something for the house. Edible is nice but people eat it and then it's gone. At least if you get them something for the house they'll think of you and joe every time they use it. What about a nice spoon rest or napkin rings? Everyone uses those!

i think you might need a tax ID to get the mariebelle chocolates at wholesale but don't quote me...it doesn't hurt to ask and i'm only saying that because they do 'wedding favors' and corporate seperately...i can ask my friend tomorrow if you want to know before you call...i looked into a bunch of places too like vosges and another company i really liked was chocolate bar by allison nelson, she has a boutique in henri bendel...they have really nice chocolate brown boxes too, i think you can choose ribbon color and they have really cool graffiti chocolate bars, hope this helps!

i would like a mini fondue set (as long as its not super super super tiny), those fancy gourmet chocolates, those fancy wedding cookies are pretty...
you can always do the M&M's in your colors in a martini glass or something like that although it's common
the sushi set is really unique and interesting if you can find enough of them
i also think really cute decorated cupcakes are great favors

Denise,
Edible is the best especially if you're on a time constraint. I have the perfect thing for you. Marie Belle chocolates which come in brown and blue packaging.
hey i wanted to tell you that i went to fall bridal veils. Luckily i wanted something simple so she can do it by the time i need to. She was so very nice so thank you so much for the recommendation
i told her, if i have to pick it up the day before my wedding that is no problem at all and she said 'uhmmm yeah you will need to pick it up the day before regardless'
plus so many cute boutiques i saw on my way there. Now i know where to go for hm shopping
OMG how did i forget, she showed me your veil and OMG it is AMAZING . The detail on it is just stunning
its so funny i have the mariebelle saved bc it goes perfect with my color scheme and i always think about it hahaha
Denise I am SO glad!!! YAAAY!!! Check that off your list.. I work in the area right on 9th street. There are SO many cute places to check out.
I am so happy you saw my veil. I love it so much. It's from the Philippines. My aunt had it made for me.
yeah i had called her first and let her know right away that i am getting married in 2 weeks so to see if she can even do it. She asked if i am getting lace or any rhinestones or designs and i said no just a plain long cathedral veil and she said ok thats no problem then. I bought the 3 yard cathedral veil with just silk lining but straight edge, and then a second piece that is the blusher also with the silk lining.
But yours is so gorgeous, the work on it is WOW. She also showed me a picture of her niece bc she said she had a niece that was philippino and german i think, she said she showed it to you.
I know i was walking by and kept thinking OMG i have to come shopping at this store soon lol
thank you i will check it out
Haha! Margaret is so funny. Isn't she like a little grandma. Her store doesn't even feel like it should be in the east village! It's like a grandma's living room!
There are tons of cute shops and restaurants there. It's such a great area.
Aww, thanks so much for complimenting the veil. I love it so much. The details are great because my actual wedding dress (not the one in my album, that's the reception dress) is VERY simple. No beads, no lace so the veil is really key!!
Let's get you to order some favors soon!!!
hahaha yeah it is like a grandmas living room. She also took alot of time with me, and let me try on a few and sit there really thinking about it haha. She was very helpful. When i got there and told her names, she even said she was JUST working on sylvanias veil.
Yeah the veil will really go well with a simple dress. I can't wait to see pics of it. The section where your veil was she went through all these veils and many were nice but yours really stood out.
LOL well i am also going to try a place tomorrow that is all favors so lets see if i find something tomorrow. Also will try 1 or 2 more places and if not then im just going with edible lol its easy
ha ha, that would be me (silvana). good to know she's working on it since I'm trying really hard not to email her to see if it will be ready for my fitting on saturday.
i like all your favor ideas. Honestly as long as it's not a mikasa candy dish or a cake server, I'd like it. I've just gotten so many of those. the chocolates sound delicious and I like Cindy's little catchy honeymoon phrase (she's good like that!). I would go with whatever is easiest - especially if they are yummy gourmet chocolates or truffles with champagne, you can't go wrong!

Yeah thats the thing, i have so many of those things too and so do my friends and family ya know. Yeah i like the whole idea of martini glasses with truffles or champagne with truffles. I like that theme so might go with that.

not sure yet, if i do maybe ill do assorted truffles or do the hot chocolate tins or something. I am not a big fan of chocolate so might not want to do traditional chocolate. Maybe ill find something unique haha.

Vosges does a take out box featuring 'France' and 'Australia' truffles. Maybe have them switch out the Australia truffle to a spanish theme truffle (they have SO many, and they are delicious. I don't like chocolate at all and i LOVE these.)
Have them change the ribbon to chocolate brown and blue.
I like something that I can use again like the sectional dishes that you had mentioned. Everytime I use something I recieved from a wedding it reminds me of that night. I say go with something like that.
