I AM HAVING SUCH A HARD TIME PICKING ONE TO USE EITHER AS A WEDDING FAVOR OR AS A BRIDAL PARTY GIFT!
I AM LIKE THE LAST ONE IN MY FAMILY TO GET MARRIED(BABY AT 27 OPPS WAIT ALMOST 28) I DON'T WANT SOMETHING THAT LOOKS TO CHEAP OR LOOKS TO SILLY!
AM I THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM? ANY IDEAS TO HELP OUT? THE WEDDING IS ON FEB. 29, 2004. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Re: FAVORS? WHY ARE THEY SO HARD TO PICK?
I am having the worse time ever. I like something then my FI hates it or vice versa. Plus, I am having a hard time finding something different and not so cheap looking. I must have ordered a zillion samples of favors so far. I am running out of ideas
a bottle of wine (one per couple) is classy and you could do it for about $6-8 a bottle...(thats only $3-4 each person)
a donation to the American Heart Association...you could make a heart (for valentines day and mention the heart)

I'm having the same problem. Someone on here mentioned doing 2 cup bags of Starbucks but I contacted Starbucks and they no longer do them so that is out. It is very frustrating!

What about Godiva chocolates, they have differnent packages, are obvioulsy not cheap looking and they arent something that anyone will just throw away.
Check their website for prices
By the way I am find favors to be annoying too. You are not alone!

Re: FAVORS? WHY ARE THEY SO HARD TO PICK?
I have to say that the favors have been the hardest things for me. My FI and I want different things, yet nothing that looks cheap or that no one will use. My sister did mini-bottles of Bailey's Irish Cream and we tied ribbon around it with the names and date and that looked very nice, also because they were mini-bottles she gave one per person.

Re: FAVORS? WHY ARE THEY SO HARD TO PICK?
I dont know what you are looking to spend but Iwas originally looking to spend like 50 on the bridal party (each) but I have some simple and elegant girls who I did not think would wear some of the stereotypcial bridesmaid jewelry. I decided I did not mind spening more if I knew they would wear it again so I visited tiffany's and co. Yes, spent double but I am sure the girls are going to wear it. Just an idea the guys we are getting good sunglasses for them (polo sport) to fit their personalities

I'm not sure what to get for favors either. I want to do some kind of Cinderella 'theme'. (I'm a disney freak and we got engaged by the castle). By theme, I mean cake topper and flutes. I would love to tie the favors in somehow, but I don't want it to be cheesy. I'm frustrated. I think we might just go with bottles of wine and maybe chocolates. I don't know....

So far we've agreed on this frame/album for the wedding guests (sorry, stupid pic won't post). The guys are going to receive flasks and maybe something else. The girls are going to get compact mirrors with their first initial along with the jewelry for the wedding.

Re: FAVORS? WHY ARE THEY SO HARD TO PICK?
I am having the hardest time! I really wanted to do wine stoppers, but I got them at the last 3 weddings I went to. I have had too many Godiva chocolates...I loved what shelzyp did. She did a heart ornament with the word love written in the middle, but it was an aromatherapy ornament, for anywhere (car, house, closet). I thought that was different and pretty. It was ceremic.
I think I am going to the Mikasa outlet tomorrow and I'll let you know if I find anything interesting there.
