So, my future brother in law is a big pain. First off we are moving and he has a truck but, refuses to let us use it. Then, being the best man you would think he would plan his batchlor party....Nope....he also refuses to do a speech. I mean I am trying really hard not to get involved but, I mean should I say something?

he is very upset he thinks he might not even have a batchlor party I feel so bad for him but, he says he doesn't want me to get in the middle of his family and everything.

Fh's best man was not planning a bachelor party so I said something, I just sent him an email telling him that the girls were planning mine- and then mentioned some things that mike wanted to do for his- he picked up the idea called me and started planning it- so I would ask about the bachelor party & definately the speech.

Are there other groomsmen that would be willing to plan the Bachelor Party? I would take a lot of responsibilities away from FBIL because it seems like he is useless.

yea, that would be optimal except that all of the GM are in a band and on tour and only home like a few weeks out of the year the only one who isnt is unemployed and I feel weird asking him because he has no money....

Thats horrible! If all the guys are in a band then will they even have time to fit in the bachelor party?? thats a tough one because you want him to have that experience but dont want to get involved! But, try not to worry, i think everything will work out and maybe the other guys will step up?!! How many guys are you having?

my FBIL is the same way.. he's having his own set of financial issues, so the last thing on his mind is FH wedding stuff.. i feel bad too.. i'd personally oust him as BM, but it's his brother and it's not my decision anyway

My fiance's brother also dropped the ball on his bachelor party...He planned nothing and at one point complained that his bachelor party fell on his wife's birthday weekend (not her actual bday I must add...just the 'weekend'). Can you believe the NERVE? And his wife is only turning 37...it's not a big bday or anything. Uggggh
In the end my brother and his friend ended up booking a dinner for everyone...My FH made a speech purposely thank the specific people who put everything together and left his brother out...I think it made him realize what an a--hole he is...He's always like that...so selfish
