How about a Cruise. They do leave out of New York City, if you are local. Or you can Amtrak it to Florida, for those cruise lines which leave out of Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, also by Cape Canaveral. Hope this helps. There are also many beautiful bed & breakfasts, in Upstate New York and New England.

You could go to the Poconos... It's about a 3 hour drive!

There is also good old fashioned Niagara Falls! You can go to a nice resort in the Poconos or Catskills. I hear Maine is nice. You can drive across the country, which can be a blast if you have time to plan it and enjoy it!

Bar Harbor Maine is a beautiful place to go and it is also driveable. If you take I-95 to Rte 1 north you will have one of the most scenic drives you will ever see. As others have suggested there is always the Poconos and Niagra Falls. You might also want to try Quebec City which has some awesome bed and breakfasts and beautiful hotels and lots of sightseeing and activities.

Amtrak to Orlando!! Walt Disney World is one of America's most popular honeymoon destinations. I went there for my first honeymoon 11 years ago because I too, was afraid to fly. Train travel is very relaxing. You may appreciate it after the hectic time right before your wedding.Welcome New Vendors
