I think sometimes I our emotions and hormones get the best of us while preggo, especially now with balancing a precious toddler along with it all...
I dont think there was anything wrong with you speaking to your hubby about it, and I think its a good thing that he was concerned because it shows that he cares and was listening to what you had to say.
I think men react differently to emotions than women do, in most cases. so maybe thats why your hubby feels worried or responsible for how youre feeling. Just reassure him that youre fine and continue to talk to him about it and not shut down or avoid it altogether now. He sees that you opened up to him about it and you should keep him posted, since he's your teammate in this wonderful journey of parenthood.
For the sake of not having him over-react (if you think he over-reacted) maybe you can talk to a female friend or family member that might understand it more? (that has 'been there' or may know how or why you feel this way.
I guess it IS hard to give you direct advice not knowing exactly what youre fearing.
I think parenting is something we all try our best at every day. Luke has the most magnetic and radiant smile Ive EVER seen and there's a reason for that! His mommy (and daddy of course ) make sure he is ONE happy toddler and he is being brought up to be a good boy.
I hope you can work out your fears and concerns, maybe writing in a journal or maybe finding a specific online chat forum where you can get advice from others facing the same thing...
I think we ALL have some concerns that what we are doing is right, and that we ARE doing the best we can in raising our children. Youre definately NOT alone in that.
Youre an amazing mommy, Liz and dont you tell yourself otherwise!
Feel good and keep us posted

Re: Fears....
ELizabeth - I can totally sympathize. I posted about a month ago about how nervious and anxious I had become in the past few months. I think it is totally normal to be overwhelmed. Especially having number 2, because you know what to expect!
I too have a hard time 'burdening' my DH with my fears. He is a fixer and wants to make me feel better and when he can't I know he feels frustrated and concerned. I often keep my mouth shut, knowing my feelings will pass but I know that when I talk about them I defintely feel better. I have chosen at this point to be honest with him - I think in the end, actions speak louder than words. What I mean it that, I tell him I am nervous and worried about this and that but overall he can see that I am happy and that is most reassuring to him. Does that make sense?
Hang in there. There are good days and bad, good moments and really tough ones. Be honest with yourself and get all the help you need to feel better. You deserve it.
