I am curious, what are your thoughts on the legalization of Marijuana?
There is so much controversy on this issue and my FH wants to buy stock in medicinal marijuana, because he thinks it may go through the roof one day soon.....

my roomate is a cop and she is sooooo adamently against it becayse there is no way to control it. you cant do a DUI test for pot, and how are you suppose to put a limit on it? like ok you can only have 1 joint, but who is to say what the size of that joint is?

I have never smoked, nor do I have a desire to. I dont think it is the end of the world if people do it, and there are a lot more harmful drugs out there that ARE legal.

for recreational use- no

You can't test for it, so now little jimmy gets hit by a car because some butt-head who was high, decided he now needed some Doritos...


THAT BEING SAID - I'm cool with medicinal marijuana
I've never been high, however I do have MS and I praying i never get tremors so bad I need it, but
if a prescription for it can be given for those who are TRULY sick- then i think like vicodine, or morphine.. those in real need shouldn't be denied help for their illness

THIS!!!

Police do actually issue DUIs for driving while impaired by drugs. There must be some method they use to determine it?

I don't have a problem with it as long as you arn't driving and putting other people at risk.

Also, just as I don't think people should be alcoholics, I don't think people should do it everyday, all day.

Unfortunately, you can't regulate someone else as far as their alcohol intake and there is really no way to regulate someone else's marijuana intake.

You would just have to trust people if you legalized it.

I am for it. It would still be illegal to drive when you're high - just like alcohol is legal but you can't drive while you're under the influence.

Imagine the $$$ it would bring in with taxes.

This....it would totally like wipe out debt, make it like amsterdam its legal to buy from like machines but u cant od it in public or drive while until the influence

Plus, it's less dangerous than alcohol, which is legal. it would just have to be regulated.

it would be at the cops discretion just like it is now. If he realizes that the person seems 'under the influence' they will serch them and if necessary take them in. It would be exactly like drinking and driving. If you're swerving and seem high they take you in.

If you hit someone or are in an accident then they would test you.

I personally don't care either way. It's legal in other places and seems to work for them. People will be stupid regardless and they will use it whether its legal or not.

ETA: and now that I think about it...legalizing it would put better control on how much people are doing because they would sell packs with a certian weight etc, and control exactly what goes in it just like cigs
