fed up

the closer it gets to the wedding the more FH and I are fighting! we are fighting over the littlest things...but even with that said I'm just NOT happy right now and neither is he. we are not seeing eye to eye on ANYTHING! this is really scaring me. I love him but I dont know what i'm doing right now....i can't believe i'm even about to say this but, i've been so obsessed wth wedding planning and this perfect picture of us in my head that maybe I haven't seen what is right in front of me....some days we are awesome but some days i wonder if we can make it through....we are also SO different from each other and I used to think that it complimented each other but now it just seems like a struggle to hold it together...i[m sooo sick of the arguing...i just want to stay in bed all day

i'm so sorry girls for the long vent but i can't talk to it about my mom and dont want to get my friends involved and warp their views on him...sorry

Weddings put a lot of stress on relationships. Did you feel this way, fight like this, before the wedding stress started?

Awww I'm sorry you are going through this.
When my fh and I first started planning the wedding, we went through the same thing and he even moved out for a few days. I really thought we were going to be calling everything off, but it was just the stress of the wedding, and we were able to work through it all.
I really think you should sit down with him and have a long talk and see if this is something you both want and try to work it out!!! I wish you much luck!

Re: fed up

Hey sweetie... sit back, relax, and take a deep breath! Everyone has problems, everyone argues, and everyone has bad waves in their relationships. Men have their periods, Im convinced!

My FH is stressing about money because we are paying for everything ourselves, so when i told him last week that my Invitation budget is $600 - he nearly fell over LOL
I told him I was going to pay for them myself but he started to lecture me about spending!

I think it's natural that we all have our icky moments - just remember.... 'this too shall pass' - it will all be okay!

You guys are going through a VERY stressful time right now, and you are about to experience the BIGGEST day of your life! He is on edge im sure, and of course you are probably making yourself insane over the planning!

Have a sit down with FH, talk it out - let him know that you want everything to be OKAY... tell him that and that you are sorry for being so crazy right now, but that this day is important and you want everything perfect, and he has to work with you on things! Ask him to meet you half way with decision making for the day, and to please try and be understanding. MOST important - ask him if he has anything on his mind he needs to or wants to discuss with you. And Vice Versa, if you have stuff you need to get off your chest, let it out now!

It's supposed to be a very happy time and you both need smiles on your faces
:)

Im sorry you are going through this, and if there's anything I can do to help, send me an email!

I agree. Your wedding day is verrry close and I'm sure both you and your FH are very stressed. Have a talk with FH, and have a date night without talking about ANY wedding stuff. I'm going through pre-cana right now and one exercise had us reflect on very early on in our relationship (what we liked about each other, how we felt, etc). It was nice to remember those days with FH and hear what he had to say about that time in our lives. Maybe do something similar with FH on your own, remember what brought you together and what you love about each other. Try not to let the little things get to you and remember that you are meant to be together. If you want to talk feel free to FM me!

aww hunnie! I am so sorry you are going trhrough this. its a rough time though with the everyday stresses, adn then teh wedding on top of everything. Maybe take a day out for both of you to go to dinner and jsut RELAX and get back to the place you started at. I would deinitely try to talk to him and see if he feel the same way though.

this happened with FH and I when we bought the house.... everyone handles things differently.

IF you need anything let me know!!!

Re: fed up

Im sorry to hear that, Maybe you just need to take a break from wedding planning and hangout with your friends. There is no need to tell them about your issues right now. Just keep yourself busy with other things you like!! Wedding planning is stressful especially since for an entire year you are worrying about what you spend. It happens to the best of us.

hang in there girly!!!

Re: fed up

I tend to think of this wedding planning thing as a crash course in everything good and bad that can happen in a relationship. You're making important decisons together, entering contracts together, spending tons of money together, alll things that are going to happen over the lifetime you're going to spend together. The only problem is that its concentrated in a very short amount of time. I think the second guessing thing is normal, it's only human to wonder if the 'grass is greener' . Focus on what has made you happy throughout this process, and hopefully that will get you both through it.

**remind me to reference this 2 months before my wedding.

Re: fed up

I think this is a very stressful time. I often think I am lucky that FH is 6 hours away, and we just talk about it and make decisions! He is not really involved in the day to day. If he was, we might be bickering all the time too.

Just calm down, take a breath, and maybe address what you are feeling with him over a glass of wine. No wedding talk, no outside things- just what your concerns are regarding the current state of the relationship

Good luck.

I am so sorry you are feeling like this...you need to take a step back on the wedding day. ( even though it is approaching) The best advice I received from my MOH is to not involved FH on every little aspect hes not going to care (at least my FH) i only involve him in major things/......((money-lol) Good Luck

Re: fed up

I think most everyone goes through this..I was so stressed this week as well and thinking about all the $$ we are spending. Maybe try a date night were the 2 of you can sit and talk about non-wedding stuff.

Definately talk to FH though you don't want to have this lingering for the next few months

Re: fed up

i think every couple goes through this. weddings add so much stress to the relationship. i know your wedding is super close, but maybe you guys need to take a break, even a weekend, to just focus on each other and the relationship. some good quality time always helps me and my fiance. hang in there
