Sorry to vent but I just don't know what to do! I work for a great company and I love everyone I work with...BUT I work under a glass ceiling. The women get paid less, what I do as an employee goes unappreciated and I feel overworked. When I started as a temp, there were 3 people in my dept. Now it's primarily me and one guy who backs me up when he's actually in the office. Since it's the HVAC industry, we are busy in the winter...I went home at least once a week crying because I was so overwhelmed and I won't do it again this winter. I'd love to find a better paying job, but I love my co-workers and it's so close to home. Does anyone know what a customer type service job goes for after 2 years experience? I feel like I'm worth more than they are paying me!! Someone give advice....

It doesn't hurt to put your resume out and look around. Something much better may come along.

You can always ask for a raise, the worst thing they can do is say no, or maybe they will!!

so sorry you are frustrated. I went through 9 months of agonizing h*ll at my last job....so I always sympathize if someone is unhappy at work.
I think there are some websites that you can do a salary comparison. In the meantime you should do some research and look into other jobs...sometimes if you like your colleagues and your close to home it may be worth it. But again that's a completely personal decision. Good luck!
