feeding venodors

1/2 price (hall reccomended) DJ & MC
full price photographer & videographer

I have to feed ppl who are staying:
MC, DJ, percussionist & Sax Player
Photog and Video Guy

6 in total @ 50% off.

We had 9 vendors:

2 photograpgers
DJ and asst.
DOC
Photobooth Attendant
3 piece jazz ensemble

we didn't feed any of them! and you know why?? because they told me not to!!

you should ASK each and every vendor what their preference is. don't just assume.

my band told me when i hired them that they didn't need to eat. my photographers and videographers said they'd prefer to eat at cocktail hour. i gave the option as well to my DOC, who said she'd eat at cocktail hour.

i would have spend $500 on food for my vendors if i hadn't asked them. i was willing to spend it if they wanted it, that wasn't a problem. but when they said no, i was glad to oblige!

remember...they eat this food several times a week...i'm sure it begins to get old to them!

we fed everyone. to be honest i think it is quite rude if you dont. these people are with you ALL Day and to not offer them dinner (at half price no less) is just plain cheap and rude..

i have spoken to many vendors about this and i can't even imagine not offering your photo guy dj, or video guy something to eat!!!

I'm sorry- after i read this reply it looked like i was cranky. i apologize. i didnt mean to be nasty! :) summer bride 06 is right about asking them though!
