My FH wants to order pizza for all of them! How embarassing! I negotiated a rate with my caterer for each vendor to order something straight off the menu.

I am definitely planning on feeding all of them!! I think my hall charges 1/3 less for the vendors. Either way, they will definitely be fed!

We're feeding the band (8piece) and the photographers (2). We dont have to, but its the nice thing to do. We're not getting much of a break either because theyre not house vendors. We have to pay 3/4.

I spoke to a wedding consultant and she said that the band is considered 'professionals' and you are not obligated to feed them.
I was under the impression that the hall writes it in the contracts b/c they are counted as 'heads'. She told me that industry standards KNOW they are not obligated to be fed. However, it makes sense to feed your photographer as he will be with you for a longer time. If however, they are hungry, they are welcome to eat at your cocktail hour, that is where they usually pick.
As per the band and them having to eat....I think we ALL have worked for FIVE hours and not eaten. They will survive.
If your hall/band insists that you pay for their dinner, use it as leverage to lower the cost of the band quote!

I'm feeding the photographer, his assistant and the DJ. I don't want any of my vendors hungry! I don't know about you, but when I'm hungry I can't concentrate that well.

I will be feeding all my vendors including the band & the Watermill said that if I don't meet my min they could count toward the min but would be full price otherwise they are half price. I know that the hall sets up a table for the vendors--no CP or anything & doesn't look like the other tables--it is usually off to side.

you definitely have to feed your vendors.
ALL of them.
if you can afford an 8 piece band, you can afford to feed them too.

I think we feed them at 1/2 price. Unfortunately they don't go towards our count. What stinks is, neither do the kids. And what makes it even worse is we're gonna have a hard time meeting our minimum! Grrrr!!!
As someone already said...check with the hall...we can include the vendors and kids in our count if it comes close to the day and we aren't meeting our minimum. We do have to pay full price for them, but it's better than paying twice.
