Feeling a little down

We got a response back from a friend and she declined. She said she'll be just returned from an extended vacation and it will be hard for her to get off of work. What's one of the things she's doing on the east coast...GOING TO A CLAY AIKEN CONCERT!!! My fh is livid. He can't believe that she would go to the concert instead of thee wedding. She knew when the wedding was. I told heer as soon as we had a date. I guess she puts Clay Aiken above our friendship. I was there for her when her mother passed away and when she was going through a hard time at work. Maybe this is teaching me a lesson...don't try so hard. I have a friend come to the wedding from Orlando who had a baby in June. That means the world to me. If she doesn't bring a gift, I don't care. It means more to me that she'll be there for me on my special day.

Okay, first of all, it was just not nice of her do decline, especially when you were there for her. I'm very sorry about that.

Second of all, if my friend turned me down for Clay Aiken, I would probably kill her. I'm sorry. It would be one thing if she said she had tickets to see The Cure or Elvis came alive and he was performing again... then maybe I'd understand. But for Clay Aiken, I'd have to kick some serious a$$.

i remember you posting about this clay aiken obsessed girl before! I am sorry . I know a few of my 'friends' have suprised me with things they have done during all this wedding stuff, i guess you get to see peoples true colors!!! FEEL BETTER!!!!!!!

yes it stinks but the fact of the matter is that your wedding day is only truly important to youand your family...and sometimes not even your family.

People suck because we dont put ourselves in each others shoes...if she did that she would know what its doingto you to be pushed aside for a skinny dork

Feel better and know that the people who really do care will be there!

Don't give up on everyone like they say one bad apple doesn't spoil the whole bunch. I had a similar issue with someone who I considered a good friend and turned out to be a flake, however, she has a lot of personal issues so all I can say is people live and die by there decisions and what goes around comes around. You have too much more to worry about and know that the people who are at your wedding really care about you and FH.

Oh Gail dont let her get you down, just think the people that really care make it their priority to get there no matter what. Dont let her spoil your joy.
