feeling better about house hunting....just need to get it off my chest...

Well I'm sure everyone read my recent posts about frustrations around house hunting...
Slowly but surely I'm feeling better.
We went out for our first 'showings' this weekend and it was helpful. nothing really that we were interested in..but
We really got a taste for what we liked and didn't like...

We actually thought R. Point and Sound Beach were our first choices but the more houses we looked at the more we realized that it just wasn't the area for us...

We also narrowed down our town list to Centereach, Selden, Lake Ronkonkoma, Holbrook and last choice Middle Island.
I feel much better and the real estate agent has been very comforting, she really just shoots us straight about what's a 'hot' house and what's been out for awhile.

Thats great! I know how frustrating it can be first hand!! I cant tell you how happy FH and I were when we finally found OUR house! It was worth all the 'pain' of house hunting!

We are actually moving to Centereach! we did look extensively in Centereach, Lake Grove, Ronkonkoma, Lake Ronkonkoma, Holbrook, Nesconset and a few other areas, let me know if I can be of any help! Through the search process I have discovered alittle bit about what areas are better than others!

Good Luck with ti all and try to remain opptimistic! It will happen, the house we are buying was probably around #50 that we saw but it was the ONLY one we bid on and we cant wait to close!!!

Maybe we'll be neighbors!!!!LOL
thanks Kel..I grew up in Lake ronkonkoma and went to Centerach so I too know the 'good' vs the 'bad'
It just feels better to finally narrow down our search and get the ball rolling seeing homes!!!!
