feeling bridezilla...

So I worked really hard on creating a unique placecard. I spent an insane amount of time crafting these paper flowers which are going to be displayed in wheat grass. My mom wrote the names and tables on each leaf (because she can do calligraphy) and then I was going to attach the leaves to each flower. The calligraphy came out beautiful-- the only problem is she didn't write first names- only the initial. I feel like it looks really wierd and is kind of confusing when you get to families with the same last name. Since my FH's uncles and aunts all have the same last name and the same first initial on those she wrote the first name. So I have some with full names and most with initials and for some reason its driving me insane. I put so much time into these things I just want them to be right. I'm almost afraid to ask my mom to do them over cuz I know she worked hard on them. What should I do? Am I being insane?

I think you should step back and look at them all displayed...they probably look gorgeous in the wheat grass and no one will really notice the name vs. initial thing. It probably fit better to do it the way she did it. Looking back on my own wedding, I realized that I got a little crazy about some things/little details that only I noticed anyway...it's hard when it's your own...do you really want to ask your mom to do tham all over again after she worked hard on the first set? Why don't you set them up (or part of them) and post a pic and ask for opinions on here? Good luck!!

Look them all over as a whole.. It will most likely be a blur of gorgeous calligraphy compared to the overall beauty of the flowers in the wheat grass!
