ok so FH and I really wanna go to Hawaii for our honeymoon. All along I have wanted to go to Hawaii and nothing else is really appealing to me.
we ideally want to do 2 nights in Oahu, 4 nights in Maui, and then 4 nights in Kaui.
we have gotten some quotes from travel agents and i am not sure we are going to be able to do this...we just worked with travel tom and we got a pretty good quote...but FH is saying its still too much bc we are gonna need a ton of additional money for food/drinks and excursions.
we could save money if we did 2 islands but i dont know which island i would cut out....and I dont know how else to really save. ( i guess staying at cheaper hotels but its our honeymoon so i dont wanna stay somewhere crappy)...so im not sure if hawaii is going to work.
i dont know what we should do...i have my heart set on hawaii

You can also check out red week or another timeshare rental place. Owners rent out their place during different times of the year at all different price ranges. You don't have to settle. You can get a nce one bedroom condo on the beach for less the cost of a hotel and many of these places are resorts that sold some of their units.

me and Fh are taking honeymoon later so we can go to Italy. That is my dream HM and he loves it there (he's going in Nov but I can't go, it's OK, he asked me and is going with his sister and Grandma...and now my BFF's hubby).
I'd rather wait and go where I want. It doesn't have to be 'right after wedding'.
Why not save hawaii for your one year anniversary?
I LOVED HAwaii but honestly, it's like every other exotic place...it really matters who you are with , trust me!

Trust me, I had my heart set on Hawaii, too. But looking at prices, that is *quickly* changing. Personally, I'd rather go somewhere closer and less exotic (Miami? Bahamas?) and have a KICK A S S honeymoon suite with all the bells and whistles than to stay in a mediocre hotel just cause it's in Hawaii. Sorry to say, you guys are just going to have to compromise.
