Tonight I've been really trying to nail down RHs to look at and dates to narrow down. I've been researching the RHs online and everything that seems to be in our price range has high minimums (Like Chateau La Mer apparently has a 175 min) and then other places that I like are pricing out to be (from what I am reading, anyway) $150/head before tax/grat. I have no idea how we are going to find a place that works, we are happy with and can afford Anyone else feeling this way?

Sorry hunn. Have you looked into Leonard's? They have a minimum that can accomodate all and their prices are VERY reasonable!

I know it can be stressful at time but there are you can always negotiate. Also are you set on having a summer wedding?
I know some ladies were able to get great deals because they decided to have a thursday night wedding. I know that they are not for everyone.
Or how about a friday or sunday. Also if you are able to try a morning or afternoon wedding.
You can also try the winter months where you can always save a good amount of wedding.
Don't worry you will find a great place! It might take a little time but you will be so happy in the end.

You can deff talk to Nick at the CLM...for the downstairs room it should be 150....if you plan for April or May, you can get that down to 125 if you really wanted it. Don't forget that the upstairs room is a smaller minimum too!! And they will work with pricing.
Larkfield Manor has a beautiful smaller room that have a low minimum and their prices are wonderful. I've heard wonderful things about their food and in my experience thus far, their service is wonderful! And, it is a beautiful venue!! 50-150 people in the smaller room....under $100 a head too..depending on the day....

Dont assume when it comes to RH prices!!! I thought I would be hearing much higher numbers than we did...we went in open to different dates and were pleasantly surprised. You dont know unless you actually go and talk to them, and like the other girls said you can always negotiate. It will work out

I felt this way too. You just have to keep searching and don't ever assume you can't afford a RH without calling and trying to negotiate first.

I know it can be very disheartening but I'm sure you will find something that works with your budget. Definitely look into a day or winter wedding.

I agree with Soon 2 B Mrs Erichsen: Larkfield Manor..our minimum is 90 in smaller room and price is less than 100 FM me if you want more information..if not,
CLM should be able to get the min. down during a diff time with negotiations, they did it for us..down to like 100 i believe on a sunday.
Westbury Manor went down to 100
Crest hollow country club went to 105.
Sansoucci i believe was at 80.

Thanks so much ladies....you all have great advice and ideas. I REALLY appreciate it. We actually haven't phsycially been to a RH yet to discuss, but I was trying to research them and I think thats how I got disheartened. It just became very overwhelming all of a sudden. I'm sooooo emotional today and just feeling worried about the whole wedding. You all have sound advice about negotiating though and I am definitely jumping the gun by getting myself so upset/worked up when I haven't actually been to the RHs. I've always wanted a Saturday night, but I'm definitely seeing a Friday night would be fine. I know FH would really like May/June, but maybe we will have to look at other months. It might not end up being what was 'ideal' to us now, pre-wedding planning, but it will be a wonderful day no matter what. Thats what I have to keep telling myself.... :) Thank you all so much for your helpful advice and understanding ear

When you actually go in, you will find a place that you love at a reasonable price and you'll be happy. You can't go by anything online because the packages can be different and you can make changes to fit your price range. Also, what day of the week are you looking at? If you are looking at a Saturday night in the summer, you'll be looking to pay a premium on everything.

you should definitely meet with them! dont feel disheartened! it also helps going in person! at first i did the same thing as you and i thought that everything was out of our price range....but after ALOT of appointments we found OUR PLACE anddd you will too!!! Let me know if you want to meet CB, i can talk to m coordinator so you can meet with her. She is SOO nice!
