Re: Feeling guilty?
I felt the same way. With the exception of my calphalon, everything else is priced under $200 (only a few things over $100). I ended up removing the dyson vacuum and the swarovski flutes from the registry because I felt I was being greedy.

Nope. Anything we would have felt 'guilty' about, we didn't put on.

Re: Feeling guilty?
I acutally did BUT then I found out that Macys was having some great sales on just about EVERYTHING on my registry and that people bought some of the expensive things already so that made me feel a little less guilty.

Re: Feeling guilty?
I kind of feel this way about our Swarovski toasting flutes...I'm not hopeful that anyone will buy them, but I figured it's worth a shot anyway. Worst case scenario, if we don't get them as a gift, we'll buy them ourself. Other than, everything is pretty reasonably priced.

Re: Feeling guilty?
I dont.....in fact my entire family biatches to me about how everything is too cheap. They want to buy me something big and significant.

Re: Feeling guilty?
not really. I mean, i have some expensive crystal and stuff on there that i don't really 'need' but a registry is just a wish list. No one HAS to buy anything on it.

Re: Feeling guilty?
I don't think that you should feel guilty about it. When we went to set up our registry the guy specifically said that you should put things that are very expensive and very cheap as well as everything in between. Who knows maybe three of your co-workers may go in together on that Dyson Vacumn for you? THat's what we're hoping!!!

I felt a little guilty about my espresso machine/coffee maker. I figured if I don't get it, I don't get it.

Re: Feeling guilty?
I wouldn't feel guilty. Its like a crap shoot. If you get an item you really want then great. Perhaps people will go in on a gift collectively if they know you really want it - like maybe your bridal party, siblings, work friends, parents etc. If you don't get something you really like, then worst case scenario, you get 10% off when you go buy it yourself after your wedding. By then you should have some monetary gifts to help you pay for it.

Re: Feeling guilty?
ONly really high ticket item is the Dyson vac.... but with the 20% off coupon, we can get it cheap even if we don't get it on our registry. As was mentioned, it's a wish list, so anything is possible

Re: Feeling guilty?
not at all. we don't have that many items on our registry and we have gifts within a good range of prices. the most expensive being the dyson vacuum (this is a must have!) .
some people may chip in to buy the more expensive things... and most stores have a completion program where you can buy what you didn't get for 10% off. so why not?
