Feeling over it already

Feeling over it already

Does anyone else ever feel like this is too overwhelming and you don't even want to have this big wedding. FH and I are paying for our wedding ourselves and sometimes I just think I could use this money for a down payment on a house instead of a big party.

Sometimes I just don't even feel like planning anymore. Anyone else feel this way? I just want to have a small party with 50 people and have someone marry us in my parent's backyard.

Hey sweetie...We had both felt this way a few times during our planning and it is def overwhelming...but after it is all said and done...it will be one of the most important and cherished days of your life. I re-live my wedding day everyday...whether it is looking at the pics, or listening to the music...or just sitting around thinking about how lucky I am to be with my best friend in the whole world and lucky enough to be fortunate enough to have such a wonderful day just for us...it is worth it...you hang in there and know that we are all here for you and can 100% emphathize. Just wait till the moments you will share that night after you wedding when you're finally alone and realize that you are looking into the eyes of your husband!! Its unbelievable! And I can't wait for you to experience that! You both deserve a celebration..nothing is more important than your family..new(your hubby) and old. Good luck! and Congrats!!

i'm already feeling a little of it too. I think it's mostly because I'm trying to plan this out of town and have to cram in appts and bookings when i'm down at my parents on the occasional weekend. I feel like I'm behind!

But I know that it's gonna be the best day of my life and create amazing memories and it will all be worth it!

I feel like this a lot. I'm getting very little help in planning and the help I do get only seems to make things more complicated. I'm also terrible at making decisions and I need to look around and weigh my options before I plan anything. This is really proving to be something I need to work on because it's making things harder for me. Wedding planning is so stressful I know exactly what you’re going though. There have been days when I wanted to postpone the wedding because I was so overwhelmed.

I feel like that often. It is so overwhelming. But just remember, it is the love of your life that you are marrying and at the end of the day, you will be so happy. Hang in there.

Oh boy do I feel like this right now lol

I thought I had it allllll under control, everything is booked except for the hair and makeup and flowers. But the major things are booked, limo's , chapel and RH. I suddenly feel like there is so much drama with my FMIL and she just doesn't want to listne to anything I have to say. I told my FH today, that I am tired of having to spend money, tired of having to make decisions and I am tired of having to try and please everyone.

I completely understand how some girls can be 'Bridezillas', b/c their family makes them go crazy!!!!

I am so stressed out lately that I seriously just want to break down and cry sometimes. People really don't know what you go through until they are in your shoes.

Good Luck and try to keep it together hun. It will all work out in the end :)

I am not even getting married till Jan 2010!!! We only booked our RH and our DJ so far. I have 1yr and 6 months left and I'm already feeling this way.

My own family is an issue - I guess I'm stressing over that as well....My sister and my father haven't spoken in over 10 years. I still talk to him and see him....but he didn't attend her wedding or has never met her three children - (her choice). This is another post, but it adds to my stress, I just dont' know what is going to happen the day of the wedding

Me too, I am planning a NY wedding from FL, so every visit home to NY is jam packed with nothing but wedding this, and wedding that. Its beyond stressful. And the fact that we are footing the bill is scary. We are still worrying if we will have enough money to pay for this thing. It is very very stressful.... no wonder I cant sleep at night..

I'm not over it, but can't wait to wake up and say that it is my wedding day, finally! We would never have planned such a big wedding if it was a wedding or a house. We were fortunate enough to buy a house while planning the wedding....but if I had to choose, it would be a house hands-down. Caribbean weddings are gorgeous!!!!!

Well I guess you're one of the lucky ones. Who doesn't want a wedding and a house! This is why I'm so upset becuase I CAN'T do both. So do I give up my wedding day to buy a house? Do I miss out on a girls dream? If my parent's were paying for my wedidng I would be able to buy a house as well, but I'm not that fortunate. This is what gets me so upset.
