is anyone else newly engaged and feeling overwhelmed about all the planning that goes into a wedding. we have our hall, photographer, and dj, the big stuff is easy, i am so nervous that i am not going to realize all the little details we need to take care of! i never thought of having to print menu cards for the tables ( instead of having to listen to the waiter try and explain over the music) or the baskets to put in the womens bathroom...etc.....i didn't know that the bride does all that stuff....i thought the hall does it! lol

You don't have to do all of it- I am not doing menus or bathroom baskets, because I just don't have time. You do what you can with the time you have!

I can totally understand where you are coming from. I feel exactly the same way! FH and I have been engaged since June 25 and already have the DJ, Hall, church and Photographer (although we still haven't decided it we are getting a video) but I'm so worried about all the details. I think I have a good amount done and then I look at the list and realize just how much is left and then there are smaller details that I forget about till i read about them on here or in a mag and I get all stressed again.
I never would have thought of menu cards either, my hall actually provides them and the stuff for the bathroom, I always just thought the hall provided also.
It is crazy how much stuff there is to do!!! I haven't even found my dress yet which is really bothering me!
I know it will all get done... we just need to relax. :)

I was SOOOO nervous, but now I want to have fun! I advise you to buy a planner so you can keep track of everything and stay organized! Just relax things have a way of working themselves out!

I am not newly engaged, but I totally feel overwhelmed! Booking the big things was easy for us.....but I can't believe how fast time is flying. Now, I am focusing on smaller details (which is becoming stressful). I have been making a big list....and then completing a small amount of things each week. I hope that this has been helpful! Don't worry, we will get everything done!

thanks guys!! i do love this website, i must thank FH for finding it!! i have to check maybe my hall does provide the bathroom baskets, i want to do them, i know i like them when i go to a wedding. i do know that the hall doesn't provide the menu cards though....oh well i'm sure every bride goes through this and everything will be fine.....just alot of stress!!
