I know everyone works at their own pace but I feel like I haven't gotten enough done yet. Then again i spoke to my friend thats getting married in May, only 2 months after me and she was like, what you've already gone dress shopping, I haven't been to one place. That made me a feel a little better.
Ok thats my mini-rant. I'm tired and just about ready for bed. Waiting for FH to call from work to say goodnight, then I can go to bed!!!!

I'm kinda the opposite... I actually feel overwhelmed about everything else in my life right now... wedding planning is one of the only things i'm not stressed about and it's making me feel like I have some control in my life, I'm really weird, lol...

Re: Feeling overwhelmed?
Count me in on being overwhelmed. I have booked myself every nite this week into next for interviews of you name it. I even double booked myself so that I can get it all in and I guess the stress is showing. I just looked in the mirror and my face is all blotchy and broken out. FH works late almost eveynite so I am going it alone. Not to mention every where I go they say May is the busiest month. (Sure no pressure) And dont get me started on dresses. And since I am on a roll (vent , vent) Holy frigin expensive!!! Wheres my daddy bigbucks????? gnite

Thats how I feel too, FH works nights on a 12 hour rotating schedule . He'd normally be off this weekend but he had to switch so he's worked /working on W,R,F,S and by the time he gets home from work, i'm on my way to work. We haven't gotten the chance to talk about anything wedding related. Our schedules have been overly busy and we haven't spent much time together in a few weeks, and we live together which makes it even more frustrating!!!!!!!!!
Plus, now his mom is in the hospital so instead of getting quality time together, we're probably going to spend Sunday with her, I feel selfish to say we need alone time when she's not feeling well.
GRRRRR-Well we just got off the phone so its off to bed for me.

Re: Feeling overwhelmed?
i'm totally overwhelmed right now. the only thing we have booked is the RH and we JUST finalized the church this Tuesday. I am going gown shopping AGAIN tomorrow... well in less than 12 hours actually and I know i'm gonna end up crying bc it's just SOOO much to handle!
hopefully we'll have our entertainment and photographer booked by this time next week, and then i'll feel totally better.

Re: Feeling overwhelmed?
I've def. felt like that especially coming on the boards sometimes. Some of the girls have a lot done and getting married later in 08. I see it as, work at your own pace, there are a lot of quality vendors out there, you don't have to get the most talked about one, it will all fall in place. Do chunks at a time.
we booked church, rh and florist. we've given it a break and now we're going to book the photog. and DJ. Don't feel like you have to do everything quickly.
Don't stress, :) I always try to remember what married ladies on here say, enjoy it cause it goes quick.
We've had our stressful moments, but we are getting along great and agree on everything regarding the wedding. In the end, that's what it's about. The two of you

Re: Feeling overwhelmed?
I haven't really felt like that about the wedding. However I have felt like that about getting a house or an apartment. I feel like we will never get one cause were both so busy and never have time to go look.

WOW glad to know im not the only one lol...With the wedding planning i feel on top of everything, in control and not stressed, actually its kinda slow now since major vendors were booked and i have alot of time for all the other details...It's all the other things in my life that are stressing me out

Re: Feeling overwhelmed?
i thought i was going to feel overwhelmed, and i knew i would if i were to rush through the planning...The main thing i was concerned with was RH and church...now I am trying to get ideas for STD and look at photographers. I dont want to go crazy with all this planning!

Thats one of the funny things, originally I wanted to get married in November which would would have given us 8 months to get all this together. FH didn't think we had enough time to do all the planning. - I think we coulda done it!!! We weren't having problems with dates since its the off season. Unfortunately FH's parents wanted us to wait another year so we compromised on March (and they are NOT happy about that).
IMO I just want the whole thing over and done with! I know it will be the happiest day of my life but I hate the pressure and stress this has put on me.
Sigh, everyone's gonna think i'm crazy now LMAO.

Re: Feeling overwhelmed?
this is one of the main reasons why I bumped my wedding up to this Sept. I wasn't getting ANYTHING done b/c it seemed so far away. If I KNEW I had to get my *ish* together in a short period of time, i knew I would get it done.
I work so much better under pressure.
Idont feel overwhelmed... just very accomplished when I complete a task.

Yeah and now you're already technically a newlywed!!!!
I so wish that was a possibility for us. I wanted to do almost the same thing.
Because of the problems we've been having with FIL, i told him we should get married sooner and then have the big party in another year just to appease them. Originally he said he'd think about it but then decided against it.
