Ok so weddings cost a lot of money...we all know this. So FH and I decided to just get the best deals we can and not stress so much over an exact budget. We had a number that we wanted to try to stay under but we just kept saying we will do the best we can and not get too stressed. Well I just decided to add up all of our wedding expenses from the honeymoon to the rings and everything in between and we are actually way under what I thought we would have spent! I actually feel really proud of us for doing so well. I mean it is still a major expense but I think we are doing pretty well! Hope you all are doing just as well!

I'm one step ahead of you...I've been keeping a spreadsheet of literally every penny I've put towards the wedding thus far, which is why I probably have stomach issues lol. But I have to say, I *think* we're in good shape net, because we know we're getting a fixed amount from my parents as a gift in the end, and we didn't want to spend more than 10k in non RH, non HM costs, and I think we're there. If we go a tad over, it's only temporarily because we're going to recoup some of that back, so I'm pretty happy with that.

I use to say the same thing.. I see myself goign back every other month.. or 3 months.. I'm just grateful for everything in my life... Still in fantasy land when I look back and see where we are at as a power couple!!

we are keeping a spreadsheet of all wedding expenses as well and as we go buying things and booking places we go and add it to our spreadsheet and unfortunetly so far what we have done is a crazy amount that we have spent already. we really didnt get outselves a budget (we should of) but we didnt cause i know how i am and i would never stay with it! we still have soo much more stuff left to buy and get and we are not even close to being done with spending money on our wedding.. and we are already way over the 75K.. ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

You should feel proud. Its so easy to get caught up in wedding mania and spend, spend, spend. I went over budget by 2k and I thought I had done a pretty good job. So to be under is awesome.

I am also a spread-sheet-bride LOL Like the true geeks that we are, we created this huge spreadsheet with budget numbers and actual numbers :) So far, we're doing pretty well!
