Those of you that paid some of your vendors with bank checks, what was the fee your bank charged? The odd thing is, I got a bank check on July 13, got my statement and I wasn't charged anything. I'm with Wachovia.
Anyone know what these fees usually run? Trying to decide if it's worth getting another bank check or just using cash. TIA!

I paid $10 at bank of america. I don't know if I will do it again.

my bank did charge me anything... i'm with Citibank. they did mention something about there being a fee, but i pulled the 'i have 4 accounts with you and have been a customer for over 10 years, blah, blah...' and they waived the fees. i didn't want to walk around with thousands of dollars in cash which is what i owed the caterer and the band, etc.

From what I remember from working at a bank, bank checks are $10.

wow $10 seems a lot. when I worked at a small bank years ago..bank check were $1 or $2 but if you did it was a withdrawal it was free.

Thanks everyone! Turns out it is $10 but I think the teller at the bank I was at a couple weeks ago forgot to charge it. Today the lady right away told me there was a charge. So I only spent $10 on bank fees- woohoo!

usually around $10. it's annoying to have to pay to use your own $, but I think it's worth it so you don't have to walk around with a large amount of cash on your wedding day

bank checks are usually $10.. unless you have some kind of upgraded accounts.. then they are free.
