Female groomsman

Female groomsman

We have a groomsmaid in our wedding party. She will be on the groom's side. She is wearing the same dress as the bridesmaids but in black. What is your opinion on flowers? Should she carry a bouquet or have a corsage?

Our best woman is getting a corsage...

Lucky you your groomsmaid isn't giving you grief about the bm dress in black...mine is - she wants to look sexy or something!

MAybe a wrist crosage would look nice. Is she walking down the aisle with a male or female?

She will be walking with a female. My FI suggested the corsage.

Eroxgirl, she has been great about the dress. It was actually her idea to wear black, because she wanted to look like she belonged with the groomsmen. We picked out a Bari Jay dress that is gorgerous in black. The other girls are wearing navy.

I would give her a bouquet or an array of flowers to hold. I personally would hate a wrist corsage (its like a sweet 16!) and a corsage that you pin on would ruin her dress. Get her something a little different than the bm, but that she can hold.

We had a Best Woman as well. She wore the same dress as the girls, but in black, and she wore a wrist corsage. It all looked great together especially in photos because she looked like she belonged with the guys, and wasn't holding a boquet.

I have a totally different opinion completely. I would go with the tuxedo style dress with a bout. this way she blends with everyone. I have different taste

I did this, since his sister was his 'best woman' - she and I don't get along, so that worked out fine. She wore the same dress as the BM's, and carried a smaller boquet, same colors, but with calla lillies instead of roses. (also, she got ready at his dad's house with all the guys, since she is friends with them and didn't know any of my friends....)

edited to say, since my dresses were black and her flowers matched the bouts, she fit right it.

We are also having a female best man and she is wearing the same dress as the other girls with a bouquet but the flowers will match the guys boutennieres (excuse the spelling). She said a wrist corsage would be annoying to wear all night (which I agree) and why should she have to carry/wear the flowers all night unlike the other girls. As far as wearing black, she has it the easiest - it's slimming, it's a dress she will definitely wear again, and how hard is it to find a great pair of black shoes!!!
