This morning I was stopped at a red light when a van came out of nowhere and slammed into me pretty hard (THANK GOODNESS we just ditched the volkswagen cabrio for a more 'family oriented' Subaru Outback!). There doesn't seem to be any damage to the car, even though he hit me pretty hard, but do I need to worry about my little one at all? 20 minutes later I got some stretching pangs, but then they went away, but I'm still a little worried, all the same.

Re: Fender bender?
Your baby should be fine. If you arent bleeding or leaking any fluid the baby is probably safe and sound protected in your belly BUT since you were in an accident I would call your doc and go in for a sono just to make sure alls well.

I had a sono scheduled for Thursday anyway, so I guess I'll wait until then. I hate being worried about every little thing!!!

I agree with Kptoys... Everything is probably fine, but call your doctor to see what they say. They may want you to come in right away, better to be safe than sorry! Glad to hear that you are ok!!!

I agree with the others who say call the doctor, even though you have an appointment on Thursday. I'm sure you are fine, but best to check in.

I also vote for a call to the doctor. I would bet you're fine, but you'll feel better too if you know for sure.

My SIL was in a similar situation at a similar time in her pregnancy - mom and baby are just fine!

Re: Fender bender?
Dr. says all should be fine, but to make a visit to the ER so they have a record of it just in case I experience any complications with my neck/back down the road with the pregnancy. Ugh. I hate ER's!

Are you going to go? I think it's a good idea - just to make sure you're all ok!
