So we are going to Vegas for Thanksgiving to surprise FMIL. FFIL thinks we are flying in on Wed and leaving Sun. Well anyway FFIL calls FH and the convo went like this

FFIL - 'Did you make a reservation for dinner yet?'

FH - 'For what?'

FFIL - 'For Thanksgiving dinner'

FH - What are you talking about?

FFIL - Well I thought you were going to surprise your mom on Wed and then we'd see you for brunch before you left.

FH - What?! Why would we come all the way to Vegas to surprise mom and see her for a day?! Of course we are having dinner at your house.
