FH: so, did you have anything planned for dinner?

Me: Uh no why? (suddenly thinking how I forgot to take the chicken out to defrost)

FH: My dad just stopped by, and brought us a chicken from Bj's

Me: A whole chicken?

FH: yea, like one of those pre-made chickens, we just have to heat it up.

Me: OH, ok?

FH: Don't ask, say 'thank you'

Me: I didn't say anything mean, I was just wondering why he bought us a whole chicken for no reason.

they were buy one, get one free, and Fh works down the block from Bj's.

I'm so happy we are the only kids he has that live on LI, we get the goodies!!!!!

FH's parents are like that too. They live a few blocks away, and always come over when his mom cooks too much food.

She also likes to bring the whole chicken....but she makes it, but I actually prefer the store bought one.

lol, thats weird bc I had a similar conv w mine on wed. I pick him up from work, he's carrying a bag.

I got you a chicken. It's lemon pepper. I even warmed it up a little.
