FG Dress Dilemma!

FG Dress Dilemma!

Ok - so FH's cousin has four absolutely adorable daughters, and they will be flower girls in our wedding. They are super excited and it's so cute!

During her last pregnancy, she had serious medical complicaitons and wound up losing her job and they don't have a lot of money.

So - she has dresses from David's Bridal from a previous wedding where the girls were FG, and only one had outgrown the dress, so I originally was like 'just use the same dresses - perfect' I offered to buy the one additional dress they need as well.

But then I found out that they are white and my dress is ivory so I don't know how that will look!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thoughts?

PS - the dresses are $99! I feel like that is a lot for FG dresses!

you could prob find very cute dresses for much less than that ... Macy's has some really cute ones for about $50 each.

i honestly don't know what to tell you about the white vs ivory dilemma though.

eek! the white/ivory would bother me but i'm not sure if it woudl bother me enough to dish out $400 or so. if you can find FG dresses for cheap, get them.

Would it be possible to dye the dresses..maybe a lighter version of the BM color? like for examplea soft pink or lilac? That would be an inexpensive solution and could be really pretty!

i wouldnt worry.. ivory looks white in photos...

why dont u take the dresses and compare them to your actual dress... and stand a few feet away..se eif u notice a difference.

what if you were to incorporate an ivory sash?

I think it depends on the shade of ivory that your dress is. I would do what barb said and compare them to your dress before you do anything else and also take a pic of them next to each other and see how it looks in the pics. Maybe you can get away with it, my only concern would be that you don't want your dress to look really off if their next to you and in pics.

I def want to compare them, but my dress isn't going to come in until like Aug or whatever and at that point, I'm not sure if it will be too late to order FG dresses!

Check stores like Kohl's and JCP too!!! Easter is coming and I feel like they'll have a ton of little girl dresses in these stores that could double as FG dress!!!
