FG is not allowed to throw petals...what can she hold?

FG is not allowed to throw petals...what can she hold?

She will be 4 and I don't think she would throw the petals even if she was allowed.

She was in a wedding last weekend and she didn't even make it down the aisle without running to her Mom. I can see it now


So what are my options? I don't want to waste money on a kissing ball. She destroyed her FG basket at that weddign and I just think it will be a waste of $$$..

Any ideas or pics???

Something fake maybe that's not cheesy?

could you make a kissing ball out of fake flowers?

you can use a foam ball and fake flowers from a craft store.

did you mean having her throw fall leaves??

ive seen FGs hold kissing balls as an alt. I think its cute!

My church doesn't allow rose petals to be tossed on the aisle so I'm having my flower girls walk down the aisle with pomadors (spelling?) aka kissing balls......

i also saw in other posts, some asked if they could have FG throw fake petals (if the possible staining from real petals is the issue), other suggested having her hold a small bo-k, pass out real whole flowers to a few ppl on the way down the aisle or just have her blow kisses.

I don't know if this will help you but what if she just had one single flower? Something medium- stemed?

Go to Michaels... they have assorted 'fake' kissing balls, Miniature.... I think they are very pretty I was going to get them for my FG's. But I decded on Baskets with Fake Flowers in them already (since my girls cant throw petals either).

I originally was going to have my FG's hold baskets filles with flowers, but everyone wants to see them throw petals, so I guess they're throwing petals! I thought I was going to have the staining the runner problem, but I found out it's not!!!

The throwing petals thing has to do with people slipping on them...

I would suggest doing a mini basket, my florist did them for my flower girls and in the basket was a miniature version of the BMs bo-ks. I had girls of all ages in my wedding and none of them tore apart the basket. Maybe your florist can make one that will withstand a 4 year old

My Flower girl is holding a mini bouquet to match my bouquet...

ive heard of this alot lately... alot of girls are having those balls of flowers tied to ribbon for the FGs to carry instead..
