FH already complaining about pre-cana

We got our first call today regarding pre-cana. My FI started to ask more questions about it and when I told him what was entailed all I got was complaining. Wait till he actually has too go...

Its very natural to complain. We hated having to go all the time but were very happy we got married in the church.So it was worth it!

My FH was not happy when it started, but then loved it - I hope he comes around for you. It meant a lot to both of us

Hey Regina! You're lucky it's only 4! We had 6! At first he was complaining and then he just made fun of everyone in the car on the way home each night! But seriously after it all, he did say it was great and we both got a lot out of it!

Mary-

I think Donie will be doing the same thing (making fun of people on the way home). He is not much on talking about his feelings and all, and then I told him others will probably be there...I kind of had to laugh. He is going to be miserable..LOL

How are all the plans going for you??

Mitch used to compare it to hazing a fraternity, I guess because he's not Catholic!!

Plans going okay but I am WAYYYY behind in the invitations dept - need to get them RIGHT AWAY and I am STRESSING! Other than that - oh an dthe fact that we have no HM plans - everything's fine LOL!

How's plans by you?

going to meet two more DJs this weekend (for a total of 5 seen) and hopefully we will make a decision.

I'm more stressed because I haven't found a dress yet!!!! The dress I fell in love with was very pricey, so ...the search continues. I am going to RK Bridal on Sunday w/ my step-mother. Hopefully will find something. And then on to the BMs dresses...

This stuff never seems to end...we haven't made any HM plans either, though me are leaning towards California (depending on the weather in November). He would like to drive up the coast to San Fran and take in the scenery. Sounds nice to me as long as I can have one warm day on the beach (and when I say warm I'm talking at least in the 80's).

We didn't really want to sit around and discuss all the issues at Pre-cana... We did the one day (8 hours long)... glad that is out of the way.

I met my fh in college, so i already knew he was a class clown so i wanted the least amount of 'class time'. The only option for us wat that one day- 8 hour session...

I gave my FI the options:

We either do this over a weekend or 4 two hour classes. He opted for the 4 two hour classes.

Now he is coming back to me asking me why we are doing the 4 classes...I gave him the options. Unfortunately, our church didn't have a one day class.

Paul complained the whole time and when we got there he was actually very attentive and did all the assignments. He took it seriously.

FH and I were both complaining about it at first. You guys need to give it a chance, it's not as bad as we thought it would be.

FH is upset he and I will be missing the 1st hour of the Superbowl because of pre cana....Tell FI how lucky he is not going on Sunday

My FH was complaining so much about this it was starting to annoy me! But now that we are halfway done (YEAH!!!) he has conceded that it is not as bad as he thought it was going to be. We actually have some good laughs.....

We start February 9th and we have 6 sessions too. The first is a group get together, the next 4 are at someone's home and the last is a mass followed by a cocktail-hour kind of meeting.

FH is not looking forward to this at all. We have been together close to 9 years and he thinks that we should get credit for pre-cana!
