FH and i are registering today.....i need your thoughts

and for some strange reason i am not really looking forward to it....you'd think it would be fun picking out things for people to get you, but i dont know....all i can really think is.....i dont really need new things as much as i need $$. This wedding is costing us a fortune (as i am sure you can all relate), and i feel bad asking people to buy us expensive things when we already have the inexpensive version of most things. Did anyone else feel that way?

yes and no! but im registering today too!! make the most of it! ull get money from the wedding the registery will be for the shower!!! i know how u feel though and everythng is sooo expensive!

My mom made me feel bad too, b/c she asked what we were doing about registering for china. And i said were going to add it to our BBB registry, and she had told me she was thinking about getting us china, but she wouldnt be able to afford it if it was on our registry. She was thinking that getting it at an outlet would be a good idea b/c it would save $ and still be nice (which i agree with wholeheartedly) but....i know FH's parents bought his brother all the china for their wedding, so most likely they will do the same for us...but my mom knows this but i think she really wants to get it for us. I dont really know what to do b/c its not like i am going to ask or have FH ask his parents if thats what they wanted to get us....ya know? and i know my mom wont ask them either. I just felt like it was eisier just to add it to the registry. What do you think about this dilemma??

register for everything you want. if you dont get it than you dont get it but this is your registry!! put what ever you want on it! people who love you will be happy to know they are contributing to your new life and home!

Registering was fun but stressful, because I am horrible at making decisions! That's why we still havent registered for new towels -- we haven't decided on a color.

i think if your mom really wants to get you china and you're ok with that, then let her buy you your china sets and leave it off the registry. there are plenty of other things your FH's parents can get you.

i have a few expensive things on the regstry...i look at it this way....if they dont wanna buy it ....they wont! put on what you want. see what happens

register for the things you really need. Therefore people buy you those things and then you get money. When I first registered I put some crazy things on there. Then I took it off. Go there and see everything. After that you can add or remove from home (online)
