Fh and I checked out 3 more halls yesterday!!

OK...so we were going to check out East Wind and Majestic Gardens yesterday but FH did not want to drive there. He wanted to search Nassau haha

So...we checked out Jericho Terrace, Westbury Manor and Millredge Inn.

Ok...WE walked into JT and fell in LOVE!! Well I think FH definitely wants it there but as well as at The Watermill. I loved the Skylight Room. The price was Great and I even loved the Cocktail hour room. The only thing though is they do not have an outside cocktail hour so I am kinda in between JT and the Watermill

But...Westbury Manor was very nice as well. I loved the outside and the room- unfortunately they said it is a min of 185 people on a Friday night. We cannot make that- only 150 min is what we want haha

But the only thing that was bothering Fh about JT is the guy didnt throw anything in. I mean maybe he does that after you say you want to book. I am not sure

yes they threw some things in but this did come up after we came back and said we wanted to book...Who did you meet with? and do they know you were looking at other places too?

Yes they knew we were looking at other places as well....but Fh said the guy who we met with did say if we came back he would work with us...FH gets all excited cause he mentions he is in the Military and then they always say okay we canwork with you on your budget and FH now thinks thanks to him we can afford a hall haha he is funny

um we met with an older man. he was tall skinny somewhat bald. he walked with a slight limp oh man...i forget his name!!!

um as i walked in i remembered i had my junior banquet there...so i wasnt really into having my wedding there haha

um it was not that bad. it is a good price but the hall was very old and historical looking and we arent really into that look

but it was nice!

Im glad you are nearing to picking your hall, its very tough to pick but very fun, too bad WM didnt fit your minimum. I dont know about the Watermill, but JT is very nice. Keep us posted!!

yeah i was upset that WM did fit my minimum either But atleast it is one less hall that we have to choose from haha

I LOVE going to look at halls haha Fh on the other hand he is really good iwth it and driving all over but he is tired of it already haha

But we are going todya to finally check out East Wind, Majestic Gardens and Hamlet Willow Creek....


anyone have any good or bad thoughts about those places?? haha could use hte help especially since they are far and fh is tired of driving haha

Have you tried Tall Grass Country Club? They have a fantastic outdoor cocktail hour space and the hall only can fit 175 so there is a lower minimum. (They're prices are fantastic as well!)
I thought it was absolutely beautiful and I would have LOVED to have our wedding there, but being that our wedding is in February an out door cocktail hour really wouldn't work plus, we had too many guests for the space.

You should definetly check it out though.

i walked in there after not being there for MONTHS - i dont think he remembered my name but he remembered my date and then when i said my name he remembered FH's name right away!

he is the nicest man in the world and he definitely helped us out after we told him we wanted to book!!

FH got along so well with him and he was NOT pushy at all. . .

i am so glad that you liked JT - the moment i saw the lobby and then the skylight room i fell in love

the only thing is i know it is taken on Sept 27th already and we are inviting 180 but our min we wanted lower just incase so we dont want to be smushed into a room that only holds are exact amount unfortunately!!

oooo yes that is his name!! haha yes FH loved him as well and we didnt think he was pushy either which we loved. it is def a great possibility with JT. we both loved it we just have to check some other halls and see if we are alright with really not even having the choice of an outside cocktail hour. but i think it might come down ot either JT or Watermill...

the only thing about Watermill is no windows really in the room we would have and i love the windows in JT skylight room!!!
