FH and I having trouble 'sleeping' together

Original post by roan126

Haha, get your mind out of the gutter!!!

I dont know what it is lately, we've never really had a problem sleeping in the same bed together but the last few weeks have been tough. He'll start snoring, which wakes me up, then I can't fall back to sleep and start tossing and turning, which keeps him up. Its a vicious cycle. Any suggestions? Anyone experience this?

LOL I am actually the opposite! FH has been snoring so long that I have actually grown used to it and can sleep thru it most of the time! If it's really bad, I will wake him up and he'll flip over and it stops. I am such a light sleeper, so the fact that I sleep thru it now, says alot

I basically haven't gotten a good night's sleep since the day we moved in together years ago. It's just life for me. DH snores like a mack truck. Some days he doesn't and those nights are great. And some nights I can sleep through it, but it's unbearable at times. Just the other night I got up and slept on the couch.

Have you tried just nudging him and forcing him over onto his side? That usually helps the snoring subside for awhile.

us too. its gotten so bad lately to the point of me sleeping in another bedroom in the middle of the night. I also went as far as getting an rx for Ambien CR.. but it made me really sick the next morning so I stopped taking it.. But it really does give you the greatest night sleep EVER.....

FH snores really loud so i just nudge him and when he wakes up i pretend that i am sleeping - ususally just a change in position for him knocks that snoring right out

Here is the secret to a good nights sleep....
1. Get a king size bed so you can be as far away from him as possible.
2. ALWAYS...make sure you fall asleep first!

HAHAHAH lol.

FH is an AWFUL snorer.

I have been going through this for years with my fh. 8 to be exact. but the last 2 or 3 it has gotten really bad. We have a whole routine that we go through it's pretty funny. I wear earplugs. I don't hear a thing. including the alarm clock. So after he wakes up he has to wake me up so I can take out my earplugs , I then go back to sleep for an hour or so. It works. So if your FH is up before you that should work. Either that or keep poking him he'll get the hint and sleep on the couch. hehe
