This is what I did, I picked about 5 songs I liked and I looked online for all of the lyrics and emailed them to FH I told him to read the lyrics and see which songs meant the most to him. When the song is playing a lot of times you miss the meaning but when your reading the words it kind of all comes together. After I did this we had a wedding song in no time.

What about John Legend's Stay With You? I really love that song right now. It is not my wedding song (we are going with Everything by Michael Buble) but I want to ask my DJ to play this song too.

So far one of the songs on the top of my list is the Michael Buble song, Everything. I sooo love the words and they really fit for us. But yet I'm still not 100% sure.
Carrie Underwood also does a good cover to an 80's song... crap... what is it called... I'll have to come back with this answer later. If anyone else knows the answer just post please! Why can't I think of it. FH sister recommended it and when I heard Carrie's version it was sooo much nicer!

I'm kinda confused about what song to use. But this is turning out to look like a great NOTEBOOK thread!

Lol, our wedding is in 6 weeks and we don't either!!!!

I really want 'You and Me' by lifehouse, but FH doesn't see why. He's just not music-emotional the way I am.

I also love 'Your Song' the version from Moulin Rouge but he thought it was way too cheesy and weird since he's used to the Elton John version.

I've suggested 'I could not ask for more' by Edwin McCain and so far he hasn't rejected it. It just doesn't mean anything much to either of us, but the lyrics are nice.

I'm a HUGE matchbox 20 fan and would love to use one of their songs, but if you listen, they're all realllllllly not positive. All the slow ones are about heartbreak. Even Ever the Same by Rob Thomas is about his wife's battle for her life, and I've heard Marisol's story too many times to want to dance to that.

I'm going to ask FH about 'When I Look to the Sky' by Train since Train is another of my favorite bands. What a tough decision this is!

Its your Love- by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill is a perfect wedding song!! They are like singing to each other!! We were going to use that, but my brother stole it last year at his wedding and we dont wanna have the same song!

We used the live version - maybe that's a little slower than the studio? We were able to slow dance to it. I don't know of any other versions though.

What about I'm Yours by Jason Mraz...we are using that I think, but now I LOVE this john legend song...

What album is it from? I have all his albums and I don't remember it but I'm OBSESSED with him and this song!

My cousin just got married Friday and their first dance song was 'Small Wonders' by Rob Thomas and it was really nice!

I was just going to ask people what they thought of that song!!!!! It's on my short list as well.

Since I'm such a huge mb20 fan and love Rob's voice, I thought it might be good.

If not for my song with FH, then maybe for my father/daughter song. But my dad's realllllly picky about our song and wants to use In My Life, which was the graduation song back in high school and I associate with that. I don't know. I want him to be happy about it. Maybe we'll do 'Like a Rainbow' by the Rolling Stones for father/daughter.

I have to see if FH will consider 'Small Wonders.' I LOVE 'Everything' by Lifehouse too. I really thought FH would insist on Open Arms by Journey, which could be ok. He loves that song.
