So after work I dragged poor tired Fh to The Watermill and Larkfield Manor.
I have to say we were greatly impressed with The Watermill. I loved the room we would be in (except I have a thing for windows and there aren't many windows- but FH said to get over it haha) and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!
The BM even let us try some of their fresh mozerella (sp? haha sorrry as you can tell I am a true Irish girl haha) and FH LOVED it and well I am not a fan of mozerella but I did like it haha
The menu looks wonderful and the people there were great as well. It is going to be hard to not want the wedding there...the grounds were gorgeous and even the bathrooms were nice haha!!
But Larkfield Manor- FH wasnt crazy about. I thought it was beautiful but we didn't get the WOW factor. I dont know if I got the WOW factor at The Watermill either...but definitely a possibility.
Going to check out East Wind, Majestic Gardens and Hamlet Willow Creek today!! Any suggestions otherwise or things to be aware of or anything haha please share!!!
THANKS!!!!!

Re: FH and I visited 2 halls yesterday!!!!
thanks!! i can't wait to go see East Wind.
I also am excited to check out Tall Grass Country Club and Vineyard Caterers....since we decided on a wine theme for our wedding
But I am such a picky person. Like I try on clothes 10 times before I actually buy them and I feel like I am going to be the same way with halls....ughh I HOPE FH just FALLS IN LOVE with one hall and I would have it there then haha
thanks again for the suggestions!!!

aww so exciting that your FH is back and you're planning your wedding. I'm sure you both will find a place you love (and agree on!). I know it's time consuming but it's so much fun

yeah I am soo happy we are looking at halls finally!! It's kind of bad though I just disregard the menus and concentrate on the place, the layout and the customer service haha I could care less about food since I am soo picky but FH gets down deep with the menus haha
But I can't wait to check out Millredge Inn tomorrow as well...I decided to go check it out after you telling me about it plus it has WINDOWS!! And lots of them in the room which is gorgeous!!

we got the same exact feeling when we visited the watermill..which is why we both fell in love with it and booked it! glad you had a good experience? are you booking? or checking out a few more..let me just tell you that when we looked at other halls after we saw the watermill, i just kept thinking about the watermill and weren't crayzy about any of them!

Re: FH and I visited 2 halls yesterday!!!!
My wedding is at Tall Grass and the one thing that I really loved was that the whole back of the reception room is windows so even if people are outside on the patio smoking or talking they still can see everything thats happening inside. We are also keeping the cocktail hour bar open outside and they said if its not too hot we can keep the two window/doors open so that it has an inside outside wedding feel to it. GOOD LUCK

I hope you like it! The cocktail room is completely covered in windows. You're too funny with your window fetish
