my hubby danced w/his mom to 'Have I told you lately that I love you' by rod stewart it was really nice. You Raise me Up is another good one....and i know it's the backstreet boys(just dont tell him lol) but 'The Perfect Fan' is the most GORGOUS song if he has a really close relationship with her...along with A Song for Mama by Boys to Men.

It is definitely applicable in my FH's case because after his father left, he became the father to his two younger brothers. At first i really liked the idea, but as i listen to the song more and more, it seems more like a song between a husband and wife. Ultimately it is their decision and i will not even come close to giving my opinion on this matter unless he asks me to help them choose between two songs. All of the choices you ladies suggested are wonderful. If you google mother son songs, you will get a host of responses. HTH!
