I'm having so much trouble trying to figure out what kind of dress to wear!I feel like Im never going to be able to make a decision (I havent even been to any dress stores yet lol) Has anyone here ever included there FH in the search for a dress? i dont want him to come with me but I dont know if I should show him dress ideas over the internet and see what he would like to see on me...or should it just be a complete surprise to him?

I couldn't help but show my FH pictures. He knows what dress I got but it will still shock him to see me all done up!

I casually showed FH some pics of wedding dresses over the internet to see what he liked...it personally didn't help me much but it might help you! Ultimately, you have to go with what looks best on you...

I didn't want FH to see my dress, I knew what he would like and he had the same idea of what I wanted. Even if I did want him to see it, he would never look at it. He didn't want to see it and even didn't want to see the BM dresses - but he did see those before.

Hmmm...I was just thinking about it and I think Im going to just completely leave him out. His opinions might end up making me crazier because if I find a dress I like I might start thinking, 'Wait didnt he say he doesnt like this or that' lol....Im just gonna pass and save me some sanity through this whole process!

I definitely didn't want my FH to see my dress, but I initially had a really hard time finding my dress so I asked him what he liked and what he totally hated so that I could get his opinion.

before even thinking of dress shopping i stock piled wedding mags and would flip through them infront of him and asking him his opinions. He gave them and I knew we both hated the same dresses and like simular ones.. so that way it helped me pick out my dress.
But he does not know which one i am ending up with.

I didn't show FH any pictures, and since he is pretty much fashion retarded it wouldn't have helped anyway. I do know his tastes though..which tend to be pretty plain...he's not a big fan of anything TOO sparkley (although he seems to like my shoes and they are pretty blingy) and too frilly, so I am sure he will love my dress

i showed FH pictures of dresses in magazines and whatnot before I started looking. I really loved the look of an all lace dress and had my heart set on one at first, but when FH saw a pic of one he said 'UGH that looks like somebody's bedspread!' So clearly I didn't want him thinking that as I walked down the aisle....

I originally really wanted FH to help me pick out my dress. but he was really against knowing anything about the dress. Now I am so happy I went with out him. It will be a great to see his reaction the day of the wedding.

i didn't show it to him because he is weird and would have told me the dress was ugly. But I knew when he saw me in it he would realize how beautiful it was. I actually asked him about this recently and he agreed if I had shown him a pic he probably would have told me he didn't like it. I say go with what YOU love, and ask your mom or a friend for their opinion and let DH see it the day of the wedding. Guys can be really strange sometimes and don't understand things.

i dont want FH to see nor does he want to see. However, at many dress appointments, I saw guys that came with their fiances to try on dresses! I thought it was cute.
I think you should go and try on dresses first. I know I chose a lot of pictures but the dress on looked horrible in person. I don't think it matters if you show him pictures, but if you show FH a photo and he likes one and then it doesn't look good on you in person, it might ruin the point? I say, try some on first and maybe that will help with your decision.

I didn't and wouldn't for 2 reasons...
1. FH wouldn't really be much help, lol... he would just tell me whatever you want and you will look beautiful whatever you wear, because this is how he is...
2. I don't want him to see or have any idea of what my dress looks like! I'm so excited about it being a suprise!

I want my fh to be surprised when those doors open and he sees me for the first time in my wedding dress. I don't think you should ask him his opinion.

I guess I am the odd ball on this one. My FH went with me to 1 of the bridal shops and watched me try on about 10 dresses. I later went with my mom and MOH so my FH doesn't know which dress I picked, but it was fun to include him in the search.
