My bro is getting married in November and I’m a BM. FH is giving me a really hard time about it. He doesn’t want to go because he feels left out. He’s going to be alone during the ceremony and prob for a little while during the CH. He’s met my extended family a couple of times and of course knows my immediate family very well (my mom, grandma and sis (who’s also a BM). Has anyone been in this situation and if so, can you offer up some advice. I keep telling him it’s only going to be for an hr or so, but he’s being a real baby about it. Any advice is appreciated.

Re: FH and wedding trouble-need advice
My BF got married in Syracuse and FH fave me the HARDEST time the 3 weeks before the wedding and we even got into such a bad fight that I almost wound up going by myself, he was pissing me off so bad. He was a b* tch about everything, the drive, making me rent a car instead of taking his or mine, where we were going to stay, EVERYTHING.
But he came and he ****** it up and it really wasn't that bad... and he didn't know ANYONE because it wasn't my family, but I introduced him to a couple of my friends and they kinda babysat him in the meantime.
He'll get over it. Let him be a baby for now, he'll wind up having a good time.
Wow, can't even use the word su cked in a tolerable context? That's pretty strict LIW

I mean, I'm sure he won't be the only one seemingly there alone. He can mingle with the other loners and have some drinks.

He should make an effort to go. I think it will look really bad if he doesn't. It doesn't sound like its the most comfortable thing for him, but definitely the right thing for him to do.

Ladies, thank you for ALL your advice and support!!! When I got home, I was all ready to knuckle him up, but before I got a chance to, he said “ok, I’m sorry I was being so dramatic, I’m going to the wedding”. He told me he spoke to one of his friends (BM) who put him in his place.
Thanks again!!!!

Re: FH and wedding trouble-need advice
honestly... tell him to get over it. It's your brother's wedding. Not a distant family member where he can skip the church or anything. We are all put in positions in life where we feel a little uncomfortable, you just have to deal with it.
ETA: OOps sorry just saw your update.. glad he came to his senses!
