FH doesnt want me to wear a weave for the wedding

i got a hair cut this past summer and have shoulder length hair and Fh love it, but for the wedding i want soft flowing hair a certain look u know...i tried explaining to him that my hair will not create the look that i dream of and he still wants me to wear my hair natural...should i give in or just ignore it, i know once i come down the aisle he wont care about it

Hm thats a hard one. Can you get temp extensions to show him, has he seen you with them before?

I say if you really really want it go for it! just do it the day of so he won't know before...like you said once you walk down the aisle all he'll see is the whole package and how great you look!

hes seen me in weaves before but he just prefers the natural look...but i think im just gonna go for it

I think it is great that he loves the natural look, but I would say go with what will make you happy, and I am sure you will please him no matter what...

this is a tough one....but I think I have a solution!
I too, have shoulder length hair. My hair lady is using a 'sponge' that she wraps my hair around to give the illusion of a low lying bun.

Is that something that would work for you? Or were you planning on wearing your hair down?

if you were planning on wearing your hair down, it is such a personal decision....why doesn't he want you to get the weave?.

I totally feel your pain, I am in exactly the same boat. My FH hates weaves, but he doesn't mind braids, go figure I've never had a weave, but I am really considering it for the wedding. Men

My personal opinion is that if you don't like how you look on your wedding day, it could affect your whole day. In your case, I would get the weave and try to get the whole look you're going for. Maybe don't go extra long, just to bra strap level maybe, that way it's longer, but not so long that it looks obvious that you had a weave put in. Makes sense?

I'd go with the weave. Years later or even when you get your proofs, you don't wanna be saying, I shoulda gotten the weave. Besides, if it's the look you want.....I'm sure he'll love it.

Do what you want. My mom, to this day, complains how she hated her hair on her wedding day 30 years ago and I am NOT kidding, every time I see her look at her wedding picture in her bedroom, she says it. So to avoid that, do what will make you happy!

I agree! Do what you want - he is going to be so dang excited to see you he shouldn't notice your extra hair. And if he does - whatever, it's your day too!
